The European Exhibition races will tie into their own championship, kind of like a PCC Europe of sorts.

All teams entering this race will receive a free pass into the Vnukovo Airport race.

Qualifying was split into two rounds.  The first round, containing all cars, was 20 minutes in length.  The second round, containing the top twenty drivers from the first round, lasted 10 minutes. In the first round of qualifying with about 10 minutes remaining, Ludvigs Krumins (who had set a lap fast enough to qualify for the race) was hooked coming out of Curva1 by Salvatore Torregrossa.  Krumins hit the inside wall, severely damaging the front end and causing smoke to pour out of the car.  Krumins would limp the car back to the pits, but the team did not have a backup car and was forced to withdraw from the event.

FLYMFLAM EXCLUDED FROM QUALIFYING RESULTS

AFTER QUALIFYING, DAVY S. FLYMFLAM WAS DISQUALIFIED AFTER OFFICIALS FOUND OUT THAT HIS RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS ACTUALLY A TWO INCH LEGO WHEEL. NOBODY HAS ANY IDEA HOW HE MANAGED TO MAKE IT JUST A SINGLE LAP. HE WAS ALSO GIVEN A 500 PLACE GRID PENALTY FOR ILLEGAL MODIFICATIONS TO HIS ENGINE.

Sabrosa Satisfied With Qualifying Effort

PCC Cup first timer Carlos Sabrosa took an old TDR Nemoto Celerox and put it in the top 15 in his first attempt. While happy with the result, the 34-year old former gasman was looking for a little more.

"I thought there was a little more to be had" Sabrosa commented after his qualifying efforts. "There's enough pace to possibly get a top 10, I really just wanted to make the race and show that I was more than just a crew member" He added as he drank a bottle of Aqua Pura.

Yokoyama Feels Confident, But Unsure on Debut

Debutant Mason Yokoyama will start 40th only because Ludvigs Krumins crashed. Yokoyama said "I feel pretty good with this car, but it's so slow I'm not really sure if I could finish on the lead lap, probably like five laps down because I am 11 seconds slower than the car in front of me, but overall I think I'll do okay."
