NASCAR at the Brickyard
I'll put this up here just for the sake of it.
NASCAR is at the Brickyard, aka Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Jeff Gordon won last year's race for a record 5th time. Kyle Busch won last week's New Hampshire race, his 3rd win in the last 4 races in Cup.
Xfinity is here as well, and Kyle Busch is the odds-on favorite.

Just remember, Ryan Blaney is basically a cup driver too.

to be fair there was a bit of satire In that post although I did want to point out he's run twice as many cup races then Xfinity. (Because Discount Tire hates him apparently /s). Although at the time I thought Ryan had declared for Truck points.
Although I suspect if that was Larson and not Busch, most of you on here would be hailing Larson a mad Genius for pulling that pass off.

Larson, maybe because I like him. Would suck for a cuppie winning, but Kyle Busch is a driver that grinds my gears, no class, race's like a a**. No wonder why people hate him! Rather take Larson over Busch anyday!

Because Kyle Larson is not a whiny ass. We don't like Kyle Busch. For legit reasons. Get over it.

Re: NASCAR at the Brickyard
The drivers and teams had been complaining about the aero package, saying that there's not enough horsepower and they weren't able to pass at all. For that reason, I have to expect a shit-tier race, which isn't unlike the kind of NASCAR Indy race we've seen for the past few years. I find it disappointing that IndyCar can put on a hell of a show here, but NASCAR fails to do the same.

There may be a big issue with heat today. Inside the cars will likely be around 140F. Hopefully they have a lot of water bottles around.

They'll probably have IVs as well.

One of the most forgettable Brickyard 400s in years. If I was NASCAR I'd be ashamed of this season.

Re: NASCAR at the Brickyard
My thoughts on the Brickyard 400 @ Indianapolis:
One word comes to mind when I think of the 2015 running of this race...
Garbage.
Yes, NASCAR tried to tweak the aero package for this race, but it only ended up making it worse. The restarts were kind of interesting, but really silly things like throwing a caution for balloons early in the race make me wonder what in the hell NASCAR is thinking.
For the most part, this race was a complete snoozefest, and I felt myself nodding off at various points of the race.
Kyle Busch wins yet again. That's four wins in the last five races. Part of me hopes that he wins the championship, just to show how broken this Godforsaken Chase format really is.
Yet again, Jimmie Johnson was nowhere to be found at the front of the field. That's the second straight week the 48 has struggled. Not that I'm complaining.
The fuel mileage near the end peaked my interest a little bit, but once the caution came out with twenty to go, I was ready for this race to be over. This race was complete garbage to me.
Tough to see Jeff Gordon's final Brickyard to end like that, and ironically enough, it was because of a Clint Bowyer spin. Conspiracy theorists are gonna have fun with that one.
Not really much else to say, because there really isn't a whole lot to talk about that's worth mentioning.
My rating for the Brickyard 400 @ Indianapolis:
This race sucked. 1.75/10. Enough said. Moving on.
Next week, we head back to Pocono.

Re: NASCAR at the Brickyard
I wasn't wrong. What a fucking farce.
I'm not mad that Kyle Busch won, but I'm seeing what this is turning into and it's not cute. Not to mention that the races NASCAR produces here are a disgrace to this track.

Re: NASCAR at the Brickyard
Yeah the last few races are bad when i can't tell Xfinity and Cup apart lol.
Kyle next week will be the 1st driver to technically go from 30th to 1st in points.

I love how Dale Jarrett said at the beginning of the broadcast, "We're in for a great show today."
Yeah, right.

Well what are they/he supposed to say? "This race will be horrible today" is a way to get fired real fast.PackerMan71 wrote:I love how Dale Jarrett said at the beginning of the broadcast, "We're in for a great show today."

Here track position on a restart is absolute key here SO LET'S PIT EVERY CAUTION WHILE RUNNING LAST

Is this really such a big deal? I didn't even notice it at the time.
Easily one of the worst articles (if you can call it that) that I've ever seen. I'm no fan of Kyle Busch, but if literally ANY other driver won and did what Kyle did, no one would care.
Look yourself in the mirror. I dare you! Try to justify his actions at Indianapolis. You can’t, can you? Just like his disrespect of the guitar trophy at Nashville years ago, just like his disrespect of Dale Jr. at Richmond in 2008, just like every other instance in his life, Busch has shown that he has no respect for the sport he races in. So why root for a guy like that?
Haha, WHAT? What does that have to do with ANYTHING? Apparently getting loose underneath someone is disrespect now.
