Auto3000 Series template question?

Where in the hell is this area on the template?!



The image above is taken with the painting mask layer ON.

Now when I turn the painting mask layer OFF, the area is sufficiently covered and there is no issue with the final product. It's just that side of the nose too-- the other side looks fine.

But why in the hell can't I find it with the mask layer ON???!!!

If it's fine with the mask off, the problem lies with the mask layer. Which is probably why a lot of templates tell you to turn it off before importing in-game.

I understand about the mask being off, but I was also wondering how to paint this little area on the nose according to the wire frame layer:



What I mean is that the area in the first image above is a triangular shape but the wire frame shows no such triangular shape-- at where I think it should be anyways!

Oh. That.

I've no clue...I'm not that familiar with these templates as I am with others.

It could potentially be that the mask is incorrect and covers part of the nose cone?

It was and I rectified it already, but I still can't explain that extra nose area on the wire template-- unless it's for the SuperSpeedway version possibly?!

Ah ok, I see the area you're talking about. I believe this is the area of the edge on the tip of the nosecone, although I could be wrong.

Okay, can somebody please explain this one to me?!



On the top 2 pics above, the outer front wing endplates the "shart" text is fine in both directions.

But on the bottom 2 pics, one of the arrow logos is facing the wrong way!

How is this even possible???!!!

How can the text be correct but the arrow not??!!

If that is the case, the shart text on that particular side should be backwards, right?!

Is it just a quirk of the the carviewer program or will it be incorrect in game as well?!

I think both sides are mapped to the same exact part of the template, the thinking being that nobody would ever make them asymmetric. The same is true of the little winglet thing in front of the rear wheels.
