Justin King wins PCC Lites support race in first-ever Lites Green-White-Checkered
Last year at this time, Justin King was racing V8s in Australia. Now, Justin King has won his first PCC Lites race in his return to American stock car competition. King, racing in the United States this year for the first time since 2010, led just two laps in the 37-lap event at the Chicago Speedrome, an 8-turn multipurpose racing facility which opened two years ago. A late-race caution for the stalled car of Jeff Fisher set up a green-white-checkered finish, in which Justin King restarted third. Entering Turn 3, King made a move to the bottom of the track and drove by then-leader Dustin Oliver, who had dominated the event until that point. King never looked back, and led the remaining two laps of the event.
Justin King, an Ohio native known by longtime PCC Cup Series fans as the "King of Cleveland", won the Cleveland Grand Prix back-to-back in 2007 and 2008. He won the pole for the 2010 Cleveland Grand Prix and led the first half of the race before his fuel injection system expired.
