Spa GP Pre-Race

Session #1

The first 15 cars were decided by time trials. There were a few shocks in this session. While Hannah Percy, the current points leader, did not lock herself in, her teammates Carla Rosinski and the much less experienced Perrie Forrester, who currently leads the Oval Stocks points, made it in convincingly. Trey Ashby also made it in on pure speed, and Carter Fitzgerald left her husband Ryan Matthews scratching his head, after the FARC champion did not lock himself in, while Fitzgerald went second fastest.

Session 2

Carter STS Racing celebrated after this session when they locked all four cars into the main race, but when going for a faster lap time, Madison Peniall went off exiting Eau Rouge resulting in a massive accident. Peniall climbed out of her car with help, and has not been medically cleared to run the main race. This means only 19 cars went through and one more car was put through in the heat races.

Hannah Percy finally made it in, and a few more shocks squeaked in. Aspira Juniors star Matilda Dillinger will be in the main show, as will Jean-Marc Perreault, Miko Rantanen and Stasya Filipov.

No-one even crashed but at least Kuzzie finally locked in

Two time and defending champion of the Spa GP Ashley Ambercroft finished one spot shy of making the race.

Q Race 3

A lot more attrition in this session. Elizabeth Francisco suffered problems after being in a position to make it and her absence from the field will mean Snowdrift will not have all three cars in the field. Excellent drives by Macintosh and Azarov means they both earn 18 and 19 spots in 6 laps to finish in the top 4 and make it.

Dash Cup officials announced that no driver swaps will be approved for the Spa GP. This controversial move means a few longshot title contenders get shafted and will be forced to sit out. However, no-one from the top 15 in points missed the race so that isn't really an issue.
