SteudlerTManticore: Woke up this morning with some major pains in my foot. When I had went to the infield care center, they had cleared me as ok, but I can barely walk on my foot now. Was the same foot I hurt a few years ago in the wreck where I got hit driverside.

SteudlerTManticore: Just left the hospital. More than likely just some strain and such. Gotta stay off my foot for a few days, but should still be good to race the next race.

BenAtkins50: @DLeck6211 Dash Cup backed out of running the New York Street Race in 2013 in fear of not being able to merely break even, as well as the Birmingham SuperPrix course in the UK. If a rather large series in the UK can't fund a street course race in that country, then I don't know how the hell a late model series can fund one at a world famous street course. It just doesn't make sense to me.

And besides that, it was the Long Beach and V8 Champ Car promoters who approached us and asked if we could be a support event for V8 Champ Car. Seriously, who am I to say no to a date at Long Beach? And it turned out pretty good for us. We had good attendance, and the race itself wasn't bad, either.

EricTheHamburglarNPCC: @BenAtkins50 Also, there's a major difference between how Dash Cup handled things and how we handled things. Dash Cup got scared and folded. We said fuck it and went for it. And we came out looking pretty solid, if I may say so myself.

BenAtkins50: @EricTheHamburglarNPCC They didn't get "scared" though. If they ran the race, they knew figures would be down. An unrealistically high amount of people would have had to turn up, so it was just better for them as a sport to just not go there.
