Last year's race wasn't bad. Races aren't anywhere near as boring in-person as ESPN makes them out to be, because you aren't forced to follow what the TV director wants you to follow. You miss a lot of hilarious things like Danica frustrated with Scott Speed in like 35th place and BK Racing's shenanigans under caution, and Cole Whitt stopping on track before the start, causing one extra pace lap...

Looking forward to Kenseth (hopefully) kicking ass. He's always had a pretty big fanbase at Chicagoland because half of the state of Wisconsin shows up.

this years chase is the definition of "clusterfuck". might as well just give the title to someone. I especially like how the only MWR driver who didn't do anything is the only one who got punished that much, whereas Bowyer gets to keep his chase slot.

Roger Penske's Fords will make up the front row for the race, with Logano starting on the Pole, and Keselowski starting in 2nd.

Bittersweet for me, but at least it's only the starting grid.

In the Top 3 divisions, at least. I was floored when they stripped Newman of a Modified win because of an illegal engine. One, because of their "We want everyone to leave the track knowing who won the race" "policy", and two, he's a Cup guy. Sure, not a moneymaker like Gordon, Junior, or Smoke, but still, a Cup guy.
