2013 Geico 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Only reason I jumped the gun on this thread is to tell everyone I will be at this race. Yay. Happy fun time.

There's no Ambrose fans at Chicagoland, what are you talking about?Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Dumbest track with 2nd gayest crowd.
Last year's race wasn't bad. Races aren't anywhere near as boring in-person as ESPN makes them out to be, because you aren't forced to follow what the TV director wants you to follow. You miss a lot of hilarious things like Danica frustrated with Scott Speed in like 35th place and BK Racing's shenanigans under caution, and Cole Whitt stopping on track before the start, causing one extra pace lap...Alta wrote:Bring sleeping bags.
Looking forward to Kenseth (hopefully) kicking ass. He's always had a pretty big fanbase at Chicagoland because half of the state of Wisconsin shows up.

Are you clueless? I can't think of any problems Truex and Newman have had before, they ran a cool and calm Richmond Race and both ended up in different positions after all the consistency. Please get your shit right Pyrozooka.Pyrozooka0 wrote:Anyone else think MWR is going to get Truex to wreck the 39? He did get screwed over, after all.

Damn, son, don't go telling that to Jeff Gordon's fanbase!! There's enough sour grapes in Jeff Gordon's twitter fanbase to make a vineyard! They even got Ed Hinton (ESPN writer) to make a sob story to cater to them...Pyrozooka0 wrote:Anyone else think MWR is going to get Truex to wreck the 39? He did get screwed over, after all.
No, I don't think MWR will do that, but I think Jeff Gordon will be doing a lot of crying this weekend.

It's like that one time in the Harry Potter books when the Goblet of Fire pooped out another name after four champions have been chosen. Why? WE DON'T KNOW. Apparently it was rigged, but who cares.
Yeah, expect some fun times over the next ten races. At this point, I don't even care if the Jimmie-Russler wins. (That's my new name for Jimmie Johnson since saying 5-Time 5-Time 5-Time 5-Time 5-Time will wear thin)

Don't these teams know that NASCAR can monitor their radio communications? Or are they just that ignorant?

Yup, but people do that every plate race, lol, when teammates that are 1-2 decide to let the other one get in front of him, slowing the field in the processPackerMan71 wrote:Don't these teams know that NASCAR can monitor their radio communications? Or are they just that ignorant?

this years chase is the definition of "clusterfuck". might as well just give the title to someone. I especially like how the only MWR driver who didn't do anything is the only one who got punished that much, whereas Bowyer gets to keep his chase slot.

Roger Penske's Fords will make up the front row for the race, with Logano starting on the Pole, and Keselowski starting in 2nd.
Bittersweet for me, but at least it's only the starting grid.

In the Top 3 divisions, at least. I was floored when they stripped Newman of a Modified win because of an illegal engine. One, because of their "We want everyone to leave the track knowing who won the race" "policy", and two, he's a Cup guy. Sure, not a moneymaker like Gordon, Junior, or Smoke, but still, a Cup guy.Cynon wrote:NASCAR has a phobia of taking wins away. Re: 2013 Geico 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Ah, yes, that time of the year when the dumbasses who have the perfect fit for the Chase come out:
Yep, let's let a guy whose average finish on the year is 26th (fluke win included) run for the biggest championship in stock car racing just because of that one win. Yeah, that won't look like a joke when he's finishing midpack every week except 'Dega. Goddamn, people like this jackass piss me off. People like this moron give the "NASCAR fans are stupid" crowd fodder. And allowing people like him in the door means we deserve it. Judging by his picture, it seems he's a sports talk radio host. Dear God, that's beyond frightening; that someone like him is allowed to go on the airwaves and spout his opinions, no matter how ridiculous they sound.
