Like I said in the other thread, bring Firestone to F1. I have heard no complaints about Firestone in Indycar.

Slicks that work in the rain? Riiiight. I'm sure that'll displace a lot of water...

Re: Possible new F1 Tyre Supplier for 2014
Ok, quick search around and it is indeed possible. Michelin already have introduced the Michelin treadless "wet" tyre into endurance racing for the LMP-1 cars. Both Audi and Toyota used year tyres during qualifying of this years and last years 24 Hours of Le Mans, while only Toyota used the tyres in the race.
While they claim the tyres are usable on wet surfaces, the actual connotations suggest that the tyres are usable solely in conditions which are too wet for slicks yet too dry for intermediates, I.E. conditions where the track has begun to dry (as in today's qualifying sessions).
Unfortunately, there is little documentation of the tyres so I have no idea how they work, all I know is they do work and have been used by the factory LMP-1 teams under the name of the "Hybrid" tyre.
