Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
The second race of the NASCAR Nationwide Series takes place at Phoenix. We see a visibly small entry list than the initial Daytona entry list which had 46 drivers. This one only has 40 meaning nobody will go home.

Welp, goodnight.
Re: Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
I dont think so. We all know he doesn't have the best record in the Nationwide Series.
Re: Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
I did it for Cup, so here's your start and park report for the Nationwide series, presented by the Tom Delgado Racing employment line...which is right next to the unemployment line.
Already in the Garage
10 - Jeff Green (TriStar's designated parkmobile)
42 - Josh Wise (Looks like The Motorsports Group's legitimacy was short lived. Parade of parkmobiles again!)
46 - Chase Miller (See above.)
52 - Joey Gase (Not only can't they do a Daytona 500 effort correctly, they can't do a start and park campaign correctly either.)
74 - Mike Harmon (It was fun to see him up front while it lasted. Back to parkmobile duty.)
89 - Morgan Shepherd (At least they got their new Chevy. Not qualifying for Daytona doesn't help his team at all.)
Questionable Parkmobiles
None
EDIT: Fixed things based on comments here. When I don't see sponsors for the team on the entry list, I'm led to believe that they'd have to park. People should bring me more news about these things

Daryl Harr is in the 4 car for JD Motorsports and has sponsorship from iWorld and Flex Seal. He won't s&p. Blake is in the primary Sr2 car so I doubt he will.

Dont both of these teams have full season funding?

Plus, I don't think Go Green has ever start & parked their main car.Mother of Invention wrote:Magus978 wrote:24 - Blake Koch (Is this team going to race legitimately? If they don't, expect Alta rage.)

Re: Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
Michael Annett has a fracture sternum and will have to go undergo surgery, so he'll be sidelined for a very long time. I believe Amirola is the replacement (Should be based Ambrose but w/e)

Imo i think Almirola needs to drive it became he needs the experience & he could really do well with this chance, but Ambrose should run a couple of races
Also, I think this could end Annett's tenure at RPM, if he doesn't drive for the rest of the year (but I could be wrong...)

He'll be back. He has plenty of time to heal season wise.Lucstar88 wrote:Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Michael Annett has a fracture sternum and will have to go undergo surgery, so he'll be sidelined for a very long time. I believe Amirola is the replacement (Should be based Ambrose but w/e)

Yeah, RPM won't let him go. He's a good driver despite the error Saturday. If they do let him go, it wouldn't shock me to see him at RFR in 2012 considering he brings sponsorship from Pilot and Flying J.

Re: Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
Tom I would also put the #52, #89 and #74 in to the questionable category.
Both Teams have said they want to run the full distance, I just don't know if there equipment can hold up to long.....
I mean when was the last time the #52 S&Ped?

Dexter Stacey is now on the entry list in his 92 and Harrison Rhodes was added in the 23, a collaboration between Rick Ware Racing and R3 Motorsports.

Had to be oil on the track. To many cars slammed the wall in that.

Race was nothing to write home about. Kyle proves how badly he needs Gibbs.
Allgaier starts out with the points leader...See if he can stay relevant this year.

1) How in the hell does Almirola "need experience"? He's been in Cup for 2 or 3 years now. I don't think he needs it IMO, but it doesn't hurt.
2) Yeah, because making a mistake means they'll never drive for that team again. Plus, a bruised chest =/= season-ending injury.

Re: Dollar General 200 at Phoenix - NASCAR Nationwide Series
I think Kyle Larson showed who's the real driver today after seeing him race Jimmie Johnson. Johnson decides to block him like a moron, Larson tried running the high side and got into the marbles, lost at least a couple of seconds and STILL ALMOST beat him to the line. I would've liked to see what both of them had to say but apparently, broadcasting a college basketball game is too important to interview other drivers in the race.
Oh yeah, Larson also didn't lay a bumper on JJ while battling for position.

Very true.
Did anyone else notice that ESPN kept showing "Messi scores again, but Barcelona falls to Real Madrid" on the bottom of the screen for about a minute each time it was shown? Typical shitty ESPN...

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but Mike Harmon is now 17th in points, with almost half as many points as he earned in all of 2012, and has earned almost $75,000 in two races.
