Are they referring to the old A1-Ring track?! I'd love it if they went back there.

It's the same track which Austria used from 1997-2003 (and the same venue as the 1964,1970-1985 Austrian GP) to hold the Austrian GP; the A1-Ring (now known as Red Bull Ring, or formerly known as Osterreichring).

The French Grand Prix and Turkey are also supposedly potential venues, but I'm not sure whether they have the money..

The layout's the same as it was when F1 left after 2003.

Edit: Hermann Tilke had the track rebuilt before 1997. He didn't make the layout sucky. Huh.

They had planned to make adjustments to incorporate the old track within the current layout, but I don't think it ever happened.

Well, I'd rather have the current layout; F1 needs at least one permanent circuit that's under three miles in length (I don't consider CGV a permanent circuit, since the public can walk, run, bike, etc. on it all year, except for race weekends).

I think it is "Circuit Gilles Villeneuve," i.e Montreal.

Oh, would of been easier to say Montreal.

The Red Bull Ring is really the A1 Ring which is really the Osterichhring with a new turn one and hairpin, plus the reprofiling for Bosch and Rindt.
