How sad. Kobayashi was awesome at Sauber, especially getting 3rd for them at his home track in Japan.

As much as I like him, I think he might be better off in Formula Nippon with Nakajima and Sato :/

I'd say a very minute step forward.

Sideways -- Caterham and Marussia are about equal, and Caterham appear to be getting over their obsession with Kovalainen (thank goodness).

Step down, by far. Marussia actually been picking it up a bit.

How have they though? Tbh, I never really give focus on the smaller teams, don't you mean they're edging out ahead of Caterham recently.

With HRT all but dead, Marussia and Caterham are pretty much evenly matched for the back row of the grid.
