2012 Ford 400 - Sprint Cup Series
I guess I could post it now since this race is one of biggest races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and it's last, and it's mostly the race where the title is decided. Right now, the 2 contenders for the title heading into Homestead are the Championship Leader Brad Keselowski, and 2nd place Jimmie Johnson with 20 points separating them. But only one of these drivers will head out of Homestead as the champion.
Will Brad Keselowski get it and give Dodge a very emotional farewell to NASCAR or will Jimmie Johnson make Keselowski's heart sink and claim a 6th title? You never know what could happen.
Entry list to be posted soon.

I assume this entry list equals the largest entry of drivers for a race this year right?

Wow Kes just dodged a huge bullet. $25,000 fine for having his phone in the race car(which makes sense to me, dont endorse being on the phone in a car). But no point implications.

Re: 2012 Ford 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Final race of the season, and I've got all of my conspiracy theories ready!
Penske is going to massivly pay off the start and park trash (and a few other near-s&p teams) in an effort to reduce the number of spots Kes can lose on track. Meanwhile, Hendrick is instructing Dale Jr, Kasey Kahne, and Jeff Gordon to bring out a caution every singe time Brad pits under green, thus trapping him a lap or more down. This is in addition to them already planning on blocking the ever loving hell out of Kes at every opportunity. Reportedly, Johnson has been in talks with Ricky Stenhouse about how to deal with other championship contenders on track. Supposedly, Hendrick's team is also prepared to deploy a small army of orgone generating Chembusters to destroy any Penske chemtrails that might be created over the track. No word yet on whether or not the #2 or #48 cars have been rigged with explosives to perform a "controled demolition" so that the teams can blame the other for the crash.

If Keselowski wins the Cup, he'll be one of only three drivers to have done so within their first three seasons of competition. The other two? Gordon and Earnhardt.

Really though, I think Keselowski deserves this title. I think quite frankly that Jimmie Johnson must thank the chase for giving him the 5 titles he has, which I think is what's made NASCAR rather slightly less popular throughout tr past couple of years, except 2011 of course.

Just realized that Jeff Gordon(or as I now like to call him, Lethal Weapon #24) is the real life Ryan Narwocki. He was attempting to fix the championship. We need to watch and see when he's gonna wreck Brad this week.

Yeah, he intentionally wrecked Bowyer, and yeah, that was wrong, but it wasn't to fix the championship. If he wanted to, wouldn't he have just wrecked Brad at Phoenix instead of the 15?

why would he though? I know Johnson has won 5 titles, but if Gordon's his teammate then he's got to support him at Homestead.

Gordon wouldn't ruin Keselowski's hopes to win the title; he knows Johnson has to do it himself.

Dave Blaney and JJ Yeley have gotten sponsorship. This might allow Blaney to do the full race, and Yeley may be able to go 20 laps longer.

I take that back, why would he wreck Brad? Gordon can only help himself, Jimmie Johnson needs to go for the title himself.

Gordon doesn't really care to be honest. His name is just on the car because i believe you have to have a different name for each team car.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Are you seriously suggesting Gordon doesn't want to win a 6th owner's championship?crl wrote:FlashRod4 wrote:Just realized that Jeff Gordon(or as I now like to call him, Lethal Weapon #24) is the real life Ryan Narwocki. Re: 2012 Ford 400 - Sprint Cup Series
So, um, there was a crash involving Biffle, Hamlin, and Logano, forcing all 3 to the back, but, um, from what I can understand, the accident happened on pit road.
But because Lolgano is going to the back, that puts Keselowski on the pole.

But what about Marcos Ambrose? He qualified 2nd.
Re: 2012 Ford 400 - Sprint Cup Series
If a car on the inside row has to go to the rear of the field, only the inside moves up, and vice versa. And turns out Jayski were wrong, the wreck was at full speed on the track and not on pit road. I can't imagine how next the rest of the year will be like without any NASCAR races, makes you wonder how 2012 has gone by rather quicker than I thought.
