Official 2012 MLB Playoffs Thread

With the additional wildcard this post season will be even more interesting. Hoping my Nationals can clinch the division tonight and close out the last two games to secure home field advantage!

With the Orioles and Nationals clinching a spot, three teams have missed the playoffs since 2000: Pirates, Royals, and Jays.

Just for the amusement, I think it would be funny if the O's and Nat'ls make it into the World Series, being that those 2 teams were the worst teams in the league not too long ago. Other than that, I hope the Yankees can actually do something in this year's post-season.

I hate the Yankees, but I hate A-Rod even more. He must be slamming things down in the clubhouse right now, because his ego won't let him enjoy a walk-off win he didn't orchestrate.

The Nats just CHOKED it away in the 9th yesterday. Everybody in the front office needs to be fired.
Meanwhile, Raul Ibanez may have just saved the Yankees tonight.

I think the Tigers have a shot this year, well because of Cabrera & Fielder, yet if we beat the Yankees, doesn't that make the Tigers a threat? Does it feel like there is going to be a party in the D again? Well I'm from Detroit, so Tigers better kick some Yank ass. WWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! TTTIIIGGGEEERRRSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing

I hope to see the rematch but with the same result Laughing

Although as long as San Francisco doesn't make it to the World Series I consider that a good series

Get out the brooms. Tigers sweep the Yankees with an 8-1 victory in game 4.

First time since 2006, Detroit is in the World Series.

Wonder how a certain ex-Giants player feels right now, seeing his team win two World Series titles in three years, and he wasn't a part of either...
