I think we have 34 cars now on the entry list, and they'll run up to 35 cars. Still expecting a few more entries too.

Tom Hessert has withdrawn according to the Pit Lane, which is the ARCA version of Jayski.

That says he withdrew for Chicago, but not this race yet.

For this one race, I take back everything I said about ARCA dieing.

Brad Lloyd will drive the #51 Ford for his dad.

Milka Duno will drive David Leiner's 94 car using the Basham Owner Points rental program

Both Kimmel Car wil be there, but Korbin Forrester is in the #68 and the #69 is TBA

Cody Lane will be driving a third Carter2 Dodge. #ed 97

Austin Rettig will be driving the family #01

Billy Venturini flipped his lid about something apparently.

ARCA Racing Series officials have announced a penalty from last week's event at Chicagoland Speedway. As a result of an incident in the ARCA Racing Series garage area involving unsportsmanlike conduct after qualifying, Venturini Motorsports' Billy Venturini has been penalized. Venturini has been suspended for one race, fined $1,000, and placed on disciplinary probation for the remainder of the 2012 season. The penalty was issued for violation of 2012 ARCA Rule Book Section 3, Page 6, #3 and #10, which reference conduct by team members toward ARCA officials and conduct or actions detrimental to the sport of auto racing. Upon notification, Billy Venturini has appealed the penalty per the 2012 ARCA Rule Book, Section 12, Appeals Procedure. Until such time as the Appeals Board convenes its hearing, the penalty will be deferred pending the outcome of the appeals process.

Something tells me it probably happened after qualifying, because Brennan Poole had the fastest time, only to be DQ'd for failing inspection.

Sorry for the double post, but rain is making a mess of this race too. Due to a light rain, qualifying will be bumped back at least a half an hour, which means it won't start until at least 6 PM.

and here's how you pass time during a rain delay

Matt Crafton takes the pole for tonight's race. Mason Mitchell takes second, and Chad Hackenbracht was third. Milka Duno just barely qualifies for the race.

Good race. Entertaining racing throughout the night.

Hackenbracht just has the worst luck in ARCA...Has a winning car but just can't close the deal at the end most of the time not his fault.
