Prairie Meadows 200 - ARCA Racing Series

Post by flyingturns89 on Mon Jul 09, 2012 2:54 pm

After Andrew Ranger's last lap pass on Chase Elliott at New Jersey, ARCA goes to Iowa with Brennan Poole's point lead shrinking to 10 points over Chris Buescher. However nine time champion Frank Kimmel won't be left out as he sits third in points waiting for the two yound kids to slip up.

Also need make a sad announcement. After a long time of owning his own very successful ARCA, Wayne Peterson has put his team up for sale. Sad

Some Notes:
Mason Mitchell makes his debut in Eddie Sharp's #6.
Mike Affarano returns from his wild wreck at Talladega to drive the #18.
Darrell Basham and the #34 are not on the entry list yet.
Venturini Motorsports has not entered the #35 yet.
Michael Simko, best known for a viral video in which he drop kicked a fellow driver's windshield, then fought the other driver, is in the #41.
Clay Rogers returns in the #42.
Joseph Hughs returns in his family's #64.
Nelson Canache is now running the #66.
Milka Duno is running the #94 again.

IF Peterson's Team is up for Sale, then why are both of his cars on the entry list?

Just cause his team's up for sale doesn't mean he doesn't run the races in his own special way. Here's the proof of it. From the ARCA Classifieds:

2 ARCA Racing Series Golden-A Car Numbers 06 & 0 (3 Ford Fusions and 3 Chevrolets) race-ready or will separate. Plate car, superspeedway, short-track, Toterhome, stacker trailer. For more information, contact Michael Peterson at [Phone Number Not Shown]

The term Golden-A that who I'm assuming is Wayne's son is a name given to teams that show up every week. They get preferred spot in the final few provisionals.

There's been some fines handed out to Chad Hackenbracht's team meanwhile, and you won't believe what for. A $250 fine and indefinite probation placed on the team, CGH Motorsports, because of a new rule in ARCA that prevents anyone on a team from using any electronic image/video capture device. In other words, a cell phone or camera. In addition, crew chief Kevin Reed was fined $250 and placed on probation until December 31, 2012 for breaking ARCA's policy on contuct team members have with ARCA officials.

#2 trending topic on Twitter is currently "Poole Wins Third Career Menards Pole"

Brennan Poole took the pole for tonight's race, which will be at 9 PM. Alex Bowman starts second, and Ryan Reed third.

Alex Bowman wins the race, but we had 2 incidents towards the end and post-race. Spencer Gallagher pushed up into Erik Jones, Jones slammed his door on the straight, then Gallagher turned him in 1. Shortly after the checkered flag, Ryan Reed showed his displeasure with Matt Lofton and spun him out.

Yes he is.

Driver of the Day: Anyone who ran the whole race on the lead lap. That's about five cars. And speaking of five cars...

Reject of the Race: Venturini Motorsports. Brennan Poole wrecked. Twice. Nelson Canache mega derped. Tom Berte derped. Erik Jones got reckless. Ryan Reed had the best day of their five cars, and he still gets screwed cause Venturini took five races away from his schedule earlier this week.
