Hey everyone
Sorry I haven't been around too much to sign up for any leagues/one-offs. The last 3 months have just been hell on me. Summed up, I had 2 computer science programming lab classes this past semester (one teaching Ada and one teaching C++). Every week I had some sort of new, contribed program to submit on a strict deadline. My Ada class's final project was a video game (one of my friends and I did Battleship. She liked how it turned out so I guess we made a good team). Then there was my calc 2 class....I'll put it this way, my friend Sean warned me that I wouldn't learn if I took this professor. "Impossible," I thought. He was right. I walked out of the final on Tuesday knowing no more than I walked into class on the first day. And I got a B in that class. Intro to Psyschology wasn't too bad...just study for the exams and that's it. No homework of any sort really.
Painting was the first thing I cut out to make more time. Cars, rendering, animating...everything. I'm still trying to get used to PSP once more (took me a week to learn it originally...hopefully it'll be that easy). But...there's some good news.
As of 11:00am...4/27/2012...I'm out for the summer...
Spin is back!
Soooo.....what's this mean really?
Well, on May 1st work recommences on the Trophy Truck Mod. As well as "Remember: The Ember McLain Story" visual novel. Yes guys, this summer I'll be working on an NR2k3 mod, as well as a Danny Phantom visual novel (basically it's a like a game...you click through it to experience the story instead of just reading). The visual novel is pretty much fully written, but we need to design the graphics and work on music (completely custom soundtrack composed by myself and T1AO88 of URD).
The visual novel is one thing I'm anticipating as I'll learn some Python programming language while doing so (another language on a resume...just looks great to employers...so does work on a video game mod). Overall, this is a summer to benefit the simracers of NR2k3, Danny Phantom fans, and in the end myself.
To see the progress of "Remember: TEMS", go here: http://remembertems.webs.com/ That's also where to download it when it's ready.
I'll also try to get into some races around here. I didn't forget about you guys

Re: Hey everyone
I'm not buying it. I think you spent all your time watching Danny Phantom reruns.
Good to have you back, SD

Ha. Only once in a while man. My "DP" shirt actually got me hooked up with a girl from the anime club as well. She took one look at it and the surprise in her eyes...spent a lot of time together but any relationship we might have had is gone since she moved back home (nearly 150 miles away). Still, had a lot of fun with a girl who I found out liked everything I did
Thanks man. Good to be back.

Heh, yeah...kind of disappeared mysteriously. And thanks man, always good to be back.
Re: Hey everyone
Good to have you back, Spin. I have to admit I was beginning to question why you hadn't been very active recently, but I completely understand. I of all people should know how demanding school can get.
Anywho, good to see ya, and I must say I can't wait to see how that trophy truck mod is coming along. Looked great the last time I saw it.

I know exactly what that's like... right now I'm taking a break from writing a messed up version of Dijkstra's algorithm in Java.
Good to have you back.

In retrospect, a post about me taking a break might've helped clear up any confusion. But I'm here now, that's all that matters. Thanks. The mod is still looking good and we anticipate a late summer release.

Java...tried my hand at some basic code in that. Not successful lol.
And because I remembered I took them, here's 2 screenshots of some programs. This one was a doubly linked list in C++ that stored data in records of: a firstname, lastname, ID number, and array of 10 numbers. My cursor is at the very bottom of the file, the number off to the lower right hand corner is the number of lines in the program:
This is the splash screen done for our Battleship game in Ada. I think we were the only game that could have 2 players face each other:
Re: Hey everyone
Spin, you put the title of this as "Hi Everybody". That way I could've said. Hi Dr. Spin.
Anyway, welcome back.
