Earlier today Chevrolet posted this on Facebook talking about the 2013 car.

Today, we're excited to confirm that Chevrolet will debut a new car, based on a new addition to the Chevrolet lineup, for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. We will share more information about the new car later this year.

Not sure exactly which one they're talking about, I know they recently added the the Sonic and the Volt, but it looks like this eliminates the Camaro.

The Impala is being elminated from what I hear. Frankly bringing something like the Volt to Nascar would be like Toyota bringing the Prius.

There is no way they will use the Sonic, it is to much like a mini van, so I'd say the Volt is a good possibility.

Or run low on batteries. It'll be a really long pit stop for them since it usually takes hours to charge them back up. This could be Dodge's opportunity to get big teams to join on their side. Laughing

Interesting... Guess if you are looking to promote a new car, putting its name in NASCAR is the way to do it.

How about allowing Saturn or pontiac back in? OH WAIT GM closed them down, right after they had good looking cars coming out... yay!

my first thought was the Malibu as well but they said it would not be a model in the current lineup. Could it be a remergence for the Monte Carlo?

I also thought the Malibu would be used but never thought Chevy would bring back the Monte Carlo once again.
