Re: Race 20: Round of Decatur
- Spoiler:
- The TM Lights race seemed to be a precursor to the Master Cup race
Greg Woodard wound up starting towards the back in 32nd place, he had the unfortunate event of self-spinning off the snake, hit Jason Teller, and then the wall. All of this created a good deal of damage to the Lycoia Brute that he drove.
"Look, it seems that I didn't have my A-Game for the race ever since the TM Lights race." Woodard commented later after the race. "Is it me or am I a good luck charm to Team EFR?" He noted, "Both races I entered, both of their drivers came back and broke their winless streaks, I just don't get it. Personally, I'm glad that we were able to race it out instead of being stuck in the garage for some mechanical issues."
"When I realized that there was no way I could get to the front after what happened, I did my best to stay out of the way, but someone rear ended me... which somehow made my car faster and helped me get around Dorian."
He would later go congratulate Scott Bates as he (Bates) won his first race in a couple of years. It seems that he has to get his skills in line if he wants to be competitive in future seasons and series.
He also apologized to Jason Teller for that little collision he had with Teller off the snake.

Re: Race 20: Round of Decatur
- Spoiler:
- Camphausen proud of 11th, apologetic to Jason Teller Jr.
"I don't even know what to say. This is by far the greatest day of my life. What an amazing job everyone at Camphausen Motorsports and Philips Autosport did. I cannot fault anyone but myself as to why we didn't win this year, but there is no need to. I am so happy to have done so well, and I can't wait until 2012. Congrats to Adrian, and tell him I'm coming for him next year." said Camphausen. He also was apologetic toward Jason Teller. "I feel really bad for Jason and those boys. Wonderful group of guys and I hate to have been involved in a wreck that kinda ruined their day. I know it really wasn't the fault of any one person, but I just hate to see people as good as those guys screwed over. "

Re: Race 20: Round of Decatur
- Spoiler:
- Jason Teller happy with entering race, forgives Camphausen and Woodard.
Jason Teller, despite being knocked out of the race, is happy that he was able to get into the race. "I sure hope that the 97 team will be able to either compete at Decatur next year or even run for the Independent's Trophy next year in 2012 part-time if possible. I will also stay with running a Lycoia chassis if possible, although we'll see if we can make some alterations to the suspension for Teller Motors, heheh", he was quoted as saying.

HENDERSON has a windmill in his beard, your arguments are invalid
Fantastic finish to the season, 26 team owes a debt of gratitude towards all those backmarkers that won him the championship lol. TOO BAD THAT DARN FRENCHIE HAD TO WIN [/leonrage]

Re: Race 20: Round of Decatur
Thank you. (checks results and points)
Yay. The #1 team won the owner's championship. Gotta admit, it feels pretty cool to be a part of that effort.
FLASH Racing and Ingelsby with the manufacturer's championship? Kinda surprising, considering that it looked like Roderick was the only consistent point scorer on that team.

Re: Race 20: Round of Decatur
Taking a lot of flack from certain drivers, but mostly fans who seem to think I was driving slow and didnt realise it. Quite the opposite.
I came here to do as well as I could, and that was plain to see in the pre qualifiers, but from the start it just did not happen, when inspected in the middle of the race, it turns out some of the debris from the Lights race was blocking certain vital wires, however, as I was informed by those at FLASH before the race, if all went wrong, help Arto and Leonid out, and get FLASH the Team Championship.
...and yes of course it dosent look good when Arto is part of the entanglement towards the end, you can berate me all you want for that one. But as for the rest of it, it wasnt dumbass driving, it was forceful, it certainly helped the FLASH regulars a bunch to begin with, there were no flags out, and certainly no pings from race control about it either.
