NPCC: AOI MIZUSHIMA FINISHES 7th, ISABELLA MACENA FINISHES 13th
The Macena Motorsports cars finished their debuts in the NPCC Zombie Survival Kits 200k at Daytona with a mid-pack finish. Aoi Mizushima finished 7th, after qualifying 6th, Isabella Macena finished the race in the 13th position after starting in the 5th position.
After the race both were interviewed by an reporter:
REPORTER: Isabella how do you fell about dropping from the 5th position to the 13th?
ISABELLA: Well, I was predicting a mid-pack finish, since I'm not the best on the road courses, and in the pits we lost a couple of positions, so for my first race, finishing is already awesome.
--------------------////////////////---------------------
REPORTER: Aoi Mizushima, how do you feel after finishing on the Top 10?
MIZUSHIMA: Well, I am very pleased with this result, the way that we raced in Daytona was really good, glad that I wasn't involved in any incident and I'm happy about finishing a race with my nose clean. Now I'll see if I can get a good result in Albuquerque.
---------------------------////////////////////----------------------------------
After the race was announced that the cars that Macena Motosports brought to Daytona were in the reality test cars with their test liveries, and they will bring the final versions of both cars on the next race, at the Albuquerque Speedbowl.

I'm afraid that's not how it works. Independent's Trophy & one-off guys use different cars other than the full-time teams, so obviously there will be no Saar in your future.

Yeah I know, it's that I used a Saar to paint it and render it:

But the paintscheme will likely be this one, regardless of the manufacturer.

ISABELLA MACENA FINISHES 2ND, AOI MIZUSHIMA ATTACKS PARKER WHITTEN
Isabella Macena was clearly happy after her 2nd race in the Albuquerque Speedbowl in a race that she was the runner-up to Erik Draachreider.
"Well, is a awesome day, I wanna thank my pit crew, because without them I wouldn't be in this position, I also want to thank my family and brother Gabriel for supporting me and giving me this opportunity, and now we just head to Pikes Peak.", spoke Isabella after the race
The same speech didn't worked for Aoi Mizushima, as she 7th after being spinned around by Parker Whitten, after the race she got out of her car and punched Whitten, that was inside of his car, being hold by Isabella Macena, and her pit crew before the things scalated even more. Mizushima pit crew also almost started a fight with Whitten's crew after the incident.
" There's some ******** not using their ******* heads out there, now I got a penalty because that idiot (Whitten) spun me around when I was on the top 5. Then I had to recover all that positions, and it wasn't enough!" spoke out a really mad Aoi Mizushima.
After the race Aoi Mizushima received a penalty for agressive driving and will start in the rear at Pikes Peak. On the Championship standings, Isabella Macena sits 5th and Aoi Mizushima sits 6th heading to Pikes Peak.

- Spoiler:
- Gabriel Deocleciano Macena de Souza (São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil 12/8/1981, better known as Gabriel Macena is a brazilian FARC and TM Master Cup Series driver, he is known for his off-track controversies and behavior.
Gabriel was born in São Paulo, son of the 4-time Brazilian Stock car Champion, Roberto de Souza and Giuliana Macena, former model. Gabriel always rejected opportunities that his father gave him, translating, buying his entry in a series, this is the biggest reason that he uses his mother maiden's name, his half-sister Isabella used the surname of Gabriel until the end of 2014, when she decided to use her stepfather last name, De Moraes.
Gabriel started racing with karts when he was 10. He raced with karts until he was 16, when he joined the Brazilian Junior Series, a spec series whose objective was to form new Stock Car drivers. He stayed in that series until 1999, in that series he won 5 times in 60 starts.
For 1999 Gabriel was signed with Eurofarma-Gessler Team, a rather small team in the Brazilian Stock Car Championship, in that team his best result was a 4th place finish at the round of Argentina, due to a torrential rain calling the race in the middle of the pit cycle. Except for that result, Gabriel's season wasn't surprising at all.
In 2000 he stayed with Eurofarma-Gessler, which was passing through big financial issues, which were proved to be fatal for the team. that shut its doors in before the 5th race of 12, Gabriel sat out until the 9th round at Curitiba, where former champion, the portuguese, João de Paula suffered a career-ending crash at the opening practice, Gabriel was called by Paula's team, the VB (Volpi-Braskem) Team. The VB equipment was far more superior than the Eurofarma-Gessler 3 years-old cars and with that, Gabriel was contending for podiums regularly, scoring his first pole at the finale in the Rio International Speedway. He would dominate the race for most of the race, until a steering problem would take him out of the race with 13 laps to go.
He stayed with VB Team in 2001, and he would score his first win in conditions that he is fond of, rainy. the race was the 3rd of the 15 in that season, the round of Ribeirão Preto, contested in the streets of the city. Gabriel would start in 7th of 34 cars, and after a couple of laps it started raining, at that point, Macena was holding a pack of cars for the 6th place.
With the start of the rain, which was predicted to be only 10 minutes long, he gone to the pits and changed all four tires, a decision that paid off in the end, as mother nature helped him, since the rain stopped with 2 laps to go, and only 3 cars stayed out, including Gabriel, that when he gone to the pits, he dropped to 30th, but with the rain he would advance to 2nd, together with his teammates and other drivers that pitted together with him.
In the last lap, the leader lost some speed, which allowed Gabriel and the rest of the lead pack to catch up, and with a move in the first turn, gabriel took the lead, and never looked back as he cruised to his first win in that series.
For most of the 2001 season, Gabriel would keep finishing consistently in the top 10, ending his season with a win at Rio, the track where he almost won in the year before. He placed 5th in the standings.
In the start of the 2002 season he was injured at Interlagos, as his car spun out in the frontstraight, and was hammered by another car. The injuries sustained in that wreck would sideline Gabriel for the most of the 2002 season.
He returned at the last fe races in that season, winning for the third time of his career at Curitiba, after dominating the race after starting on the pole. He finished the season in 30th in the standings, after missing 10 of 16 races.
For 2003 he signed with Saar do Brasil, the factory Saar team, and one of the strongest teams in that series until the present day. in that season he was one of the dominant cars, winning 4 of the 16 races, as his teammates won 8 other races, and coming to the finale, Gabriel was with a realistic shot for the title, and he just made what he needed to, winning the title by 10 points over Hélio Figueiredo, his teamamte.
For 2004 he kept his good results in order to succesfully defend his title, winning 3 races and keeping a 25 point margin over his teammate Franco de Nóbrega, he became one of the few drivers to succesfully defend a title in the series.
In 2005 the Saars didn't had the same consistency that they showed in previous years, either being slow and reliable or being too fast and blowing up all over the place. Gabriel didn't won any races, with his best result being a 5th place finish at Caruaru.
In 2006 he was fighting for the title coming to the last race of the season at Interlagos, but a crash with 20 laps to go took the title away from him, giving it for his sister Isabella, that was racing for Lenard-Kirisame RC. In that year he still didn't won.
In 2007 he ended up being signed together with his sister for racing with the new Lenard factory team, the Lenard Imperial. For most of that season, Gabriel and Isabella would consistently finish in the top 5, with Gabriel finishing the season in 2nd, 2 points behind the champion, Leonardo Macedo. His winless streak continued.
For 2008, he had high hopes as he won the three first races, Interlagos, Curitiba and Velopark. He led mopst of the championship until the third-to-last race where he lost the lead to defending series champion, Leonardo Macedo, but in the last race the difference between them was of 5 points, as Gabriel won the round of São Paulo in dominant fashion, in the finale Macedo would be caught up in a crash triggered by, Gabriel's teammate and sister Isabella. Several drivers complained about team orders after the older Macena got his third title.
In 2009 was time for Isabella to dominate, and Gabriel was running consistently in 2nd for most of that season, and coming to the finale, he would return the favor to his little sister, as he held up the pack where the other championship contenders were, helping Isabella to win her second title.
In 2010, 2011 and 2012 Gabriel would have a winless streak, failing to win races, mostly due to inconsistency of the new series engine rule, which equalized the battle, and made the engines terribly unreliable.
For 2013, Lenard Império would sort out their situation, and give Gabriel and Isabella consistent rides, which made Gabriel finish 5th in the final standings, and Isabella would end up in 10th after reciving a series of penalties in the end of the season, which were considered by both Gabriel and Isabella "blatant sexism by the part of the officials", as Gabriel said later in the season - "Those ididots can't handle a woman winning several times, and this happended earlier in 2007, 2008 and since 2010 this is happening to her, amd if the Brazilian Racing Federation keeps their officials's attitude like this, I could easily abandon the concept of racing here.
And he did, after having a conversation with his personal sponsors and his family he decided to move to America, and thanks to the FARC officials his family team, which both he, his sister and father own, was granted a spot for the 2014 FARC Elite Series Season.
And his season started quite badly for him, as a failed strategy dropped him to the 11th place in the Rookie Shootout, and Not Qualifying for the Smash Beer 500 just worsened his rookie hopes, as in the Truck race he was involved in a series of pit collisions and retired early in the race.
In Columbia his season started to get better as he qualified for his first feature, but after being involved in a wreck he retired from the race, but at Langhorne he would dominate the truck race until a slower car took out all his winning chances, in the Elite Series race he would cause a wreck and wouldn't be nowhere close to the front until the end of his sprint.
At Mosport he would wreck before finishing one lap as he was caught up in a giant crash where his car flipped. In Albuquerque he would finish 6th in his sprint, but his engine gave up early in the feature.
At the annual endurance race, Gabriel would qualify, but again, his engine would gave up early.
His best result in the season would come at the Sommerlabs All-Star Classic, where he ran up front for the entire race, and his good result streak carried on to the Sprint for the Epps 200 at the New York Autoring, where he finished 4th.
But in the feature he would still be a factor, again running up front all night long, but he would cause two giant wrecks in the race, and causing those wrecks would set up a rivalry with two drivers: Ryan Matthews and Ben Atkins.
Also, after the race he was criticized by several drivers, but he would silence most of those critics after doing a clean race at Lake Afton, in which he ran cleanly and without mistakes, winning the race after capitalizing in his opponent failures.
----------------------------------PERSONAL LIFE----------------------------------------------
Gabriel is married to also race car driver Julia Ashcroft, they both met at the International Touring Car Series race at Curitiba in 2006, they dated until 2009 when they married in a quiet ceremory in Porto Alegre. They're married until the present day.
