David Krikorian Returns to TM Master Cup Series with Hodges-Walter Racing
Hodges-Walter Racing announced that Californian David Krikorian will be returning to the TM Master Cup series as a member of the team's driving lineup. The team has applied for Promoter's Options in the next 4 rounds of the 2013 season. Krikorian spent a season and a half driving for then-Lenard factory team Flare Motorsports, and while he showed flashes of potential, his career was halted by an inability to secure appropriate sponsorship to land another ride. He will drive in the team's third car, which will be renumbered from Alan Hodges's usual choice of #13 to #66 -- apparently, at a sponsor's request.

"David [Krikorian] has a lot to offer our team, not only as a racing driver but as a businessman and co-worker. We look forward to working with him, as we feel he is one of the overlooked talents of this generation, and we at Hodges-Walter Racing will value his input greatly." Carl Walter said during the press release.

While it is possible Krikorian could find himself driving for Hodges-Walter Racing in 2014, team co-owners Alan Hodges and Carl Walter dismissed the issue. Luciano Soveral and Adrien Devereux have yet to re-sign with the team, and while it is likely both drivers will re-sign with the team, Hodges-Walter Racing could be giving themselves a lifeline in case one of their drivers departs for another team.

Speculation in the TM Master Cup series paddock is that Hodges-Walter Racing could be using Krikorian as additional pressure for both drivers to perform stronger. Others, however, believe that Krikorian is setting himself up to fill the rule of primary test and reserve driver, as Alan Hodges scales back his driving duties.
