ASCC Houston 200
The race was run by Barney and I volunteered to do a video. This is my first attempt at commentary so I don't know how good it is.
Well here it is....

Re: ASCC Houston 200
I was actually having problems posting this race as a write up so I'm glad someone could make a video of this race.

For a first commentary this is very good.

- Spoiler:
- Casey Lester: Damn, I saw Raynor and Miller, not sure which one, I think Jr., but I saw them spinning outta the corner of my eye and I just thought they would spin down the track and I went behind Timmy Woodard. I guess they didn't and the 40 tried to go through an invisible hole and I just wasn't paying attention and should've decided to slow down and not follow Tim.

- Nash Coasts to 9th Place Finish at Home Race
One of the few bright spots for Thomas Nash and his #7 Quaker State Bolden Chaser this season has to be the performance he put on at his home race at the Lone Star Supercell in Houston, Texas.
Nash's qualifying efforts have improved over the last few races, as he qualified inside of the top-10 once again. Even though he fell back early in the race, he was able to use some pit strategy and some adjustments to bring the car back up to the front of the pack, until a flat tire cost him a lead lap run. Nash stayed up front and out of trouble until the last caution of the race with just 4 laps to, as he and Joe Olenick tangled coming out of turn 2, ending the race under caution.
"Well, that was certainly interesting, and it's great to have a good run at my home track, even though it ended with me coasting to the line in a damaged car. I wanted to have one last stand today before parking it. Tires were obviously what cost me a possible win, I think. Still, I'm glad to get my third top-10 of the season, two of which have been in Texas! I also plan to come back next year if we can find some more funding and more performance in our cars. More details should be released soon," quoted Nash after the race.
Nash has had a pretty dreadful season, being mired in the low 20s and upper 30s in points for most of the season. He hopes to turn this slump around with a possible return to ASCC racing next year.

Darcy Puts Kidd's Championship Hopes Into The Wall
Houston 200. Caution 10. Lap 138. Curtis Darcy hooked Texas native Jim Kidd and may have permanently damaged Kidd's ASCC Championship hopes. Kidd entered the event 4th in points and 36 points back and actually gained on the points leader by finishing the race only 19 points back-- but what could've been for Kidd! Power Steering America teammate Billy Bob Childers (misidentified as "Childress" by announcers) managed a 7th place finish even after crashing early on and Kidd had a better car that day-- possibly a top 5 car or better. Kidd remains 4th in points but one can ponder what could've been for the "Emperor of New York".
"I'm just glad I didn't suffer another concussion," Kidd joked.
Kidd has one more shot to capture Power Steering America's first ASCC Championship when the series heads to Atlanta for the Lenard 225. PSA is a subsidiary of Power Steering Incorporated whose recent hot streak has included the TM Lights championship in 2011 and the ARLA championship in 2012. Could the ASCC be next?!
