- Spoiler:
- Delgado Falls Off Lead Lap Late, Still Scores Points
As disappointed as Tom Delgado was to finish 12th, off the lead lap, he was relieved to score a handful of points and keep his slowly fading championship hopes alive.
"We had a car that could win, but we had some god-awful pit strategy" Delgado said. "I did not agree with the call that had us go down pit road all by ourselves, and it cost us a chance to win. I really feel we had something for Adrien (Devereaux) and the rest of the leaders, because we were able to run with Kraig (Mummert) and he had the car to beat" Delgado added.
Thanks to this points finish, Tom Delgado moves up to 8th in the championship standings.

- Spoiler:
- Juneau Impressed with Ashby's Quincy Run:
Juneau Automotive's CEO and co-founder Adam Kesler was quick to comment on his delight after witnessing Round 13 at the Grand Detour of Quincy. Zelda Ashby, who drives under the DeGarmo Enterprises banner, was running solidly inside the top 5 for a good portion of the event, and despite getting shuffled back through the field late in the race she picked up an 8th place finish. DeGarmo Enterprises is supplied chassis by Juneau Automotive and is rumored to be extending their manufacturer contract through the 2012 season despite other rumors claiming KJS Autosport's rise to the Master Cup ranks.
"Zelda [Ashby] gave us a great run out there today," Adam Kesler said. "We're happy with her performances as well as Louis Kingston's and their putting on a great show for the fans using our cars. That's a big accomplishment for us and we're hoping to see more from them because they're both excellent drivers.
When asked about KJS Autosport's possibility in Master Cup in 2012, Kesler simply replied "Nothing is going to be crystal clear until the off-season. We haven't been in talks with the officials yet if that's what you're wondering. Right now we're just focusing on keeping [Owen] DeGarmo's team in contention with the big league drivers."

- Spoiler:
- Fortner etches Top Ten since Karjala '10
Fortner's speed and handling have finally culminated a Top Ten run for the 2004 champion, Matt Taylor, however, if they are ever to win the Independent's Trophy this season, their last IT runs will have to be much more productive to shake up the first six positions headed by Finntech's Mika Tervo.
The Fortner FS260 project has been fairly decent. 18th was Fortner's first Top 20 when it came onboard the inaugural Independent's Trophy season under the defunct Blitzkrieg Racing team. By the time Fortner debuted at Karjala, when other Fortners faltered due to mechanics or driver error, Ross Peterson gave Fortner's first Top Five finishing in fourth. But after Karjala '10, engine failures marred their chances. They quickly fixed them with a newer Master Cup Series engine package for 2011, and by Daytona of this season, they've found the speed they lacked. Handling was another key issue, and here at Quincy, that, too was solved by Matt Taylor's fourth place run. So far, Fortner has shown the TM Master Cup paddock that it CAN run with the big dogs and it has a great team of developers and mechanics to back that up. Hopefully by Matt Taylor's and Taylor Silverman's final Independent's Trophy races, these excelent runs shouldn't come as impossible.
Other items from the Fortner offices: Billy Fortner will be debuting his car at Indy, which is a double-points event, but no Independent's Trophy points are factored. Fortner currently is in the TM Lights North Series for his own team fielding himself and Marvin Fortner, Jr.

- Spoiler:
- Is there any damage to the turn one guardrail? On realistic terms, I could imagine the only way Robert Dorian having gone over like that was having torn through the guardrail, not to mention Avery Holtzmann having done the same thing by going straight through it. :S

Re: Race 13: Round of Quincy
Due to Indy being the last double points race, if Devereux finishes within striking distance of Rainsford, at least she won't win the championship(that is if both of them qualify).

- Spoiler:
- Steudler losing confidence in team
After yet more car trouble that led to an early exit, and hearing of Camelot Racing going to the ASCC next season, Steudler was more than disappointed with all that has gone on, and requested a meeting with team ownership tomorrow.
"Frankly, the cars that the team has put out lately has been less than sub-par, and this whole ASCC deal has made me quite unsettled. It almost feels as if the team is just showing up to fill the field. If that is the case, I might have serious questions about my own commitment with the team. I'd like to give it my all, but if Camelot can't, then who knows.

Re: Race 13: Round of Quincy
this luck has to break at some point. i mean we had a solid top 2 car today. we held with the leaders on every single restart we ran faster laps then most of them but the flat tire took us out of contention. 17th is nice becuase it gets us points but 1st or 2nd would have been better. I've always loved this track. Won a TM_Jr's race here once, top 10 the last 2 years. Really thought this was the track to turn this season around. but what can you do? its just how it happens in racing.
