Tuttle, Work In Progress

Post by TheMayor44 on Wed Jan 04, 2012 11:50 pm

I've been playing around with Inkscape to polish some logos and numbers, figured I'd throw this out here.

Spoiler:

Piton Beer #44

Piton Beer #44, outlined headlights

Piton Beer #44, Modern Headlights

Piton Beer #44, Outlined Headlights

Piton Beer #44, Updated Headlights

A bit rougher than the rest, I'll polish up the hood logo when I have time

MJI Resort #43

Suggestions? Questions? Comments? Concerns? Joke? Skit?

That's really good, but I would advise you try and use your more modern headlights from your default cup version.

Updated the Headlights and fixed the right tail light.

Next order of business will be creating an outline of the headlights (similar to what some of the 90's Chevy's had) and then alternate sponsers.

Whitt, you have to upload the renders to photobucket and post those links, you can find the renders in your profile on Ten0r's, click the download link and upload to photobucket or some other image hosting site.

Are they not showing up? Or is it not good to link directly from Ten0r's?

Nevermind, I see now

Well, one problem you have is that if you intend to enter this, FLASH Racing already has #44.

The other problem is that the numbers are too wide.

Where can I find a list of available numbers?

Right here:
http://tmpedia.wikkii.com/wiki/2012_TM_Master_Cup_season

Still a work in progress...and note the Independent's Trophy participants haven't been announced yet. These are just the full-time entries.

I would select the hood logo (not the lettering) expand the selection by 2 pixels, make a new layer, place it under your logo layer and then fill with black. The white and teal are kind of bright (I blame Ten0r's)

When in doubt, it's on Ten0r's

Numbers are too low, I would try to have the bottom of the numbers just barely over the jack holes.

Is that not where they are now, just over the black? If they go any higher it'll look warped where the door panels begin to curve to meet the A, B, and C posts.

See how my numbers are? They aren't wrapping onto anything they aren't supposed too.

What you could do is make the numbers elongated up and down and then thin out the numbers width. If you use a wireframe, you can see where things may bend out of place. The lip under each window (driver's and passenger's) is pain in the butt to use properly.
