Re: Suggestions for the 2012 Schedule
like everybody else, I think Texas should stay, I beleive it pays tribute to Henry Walker, seeing as how he was from Texas.
ARLA should continue going to Canada, and maybe perhaps a Mexico race.
Talladega is a must stay.
Daytona should return, but not as the first race.
St Pete should stay on the Schedule.
Appleton, Dwyer, Decatur, Watkins Glen, and Rockford are obvious.

Re: Suggestions for the 2012 Schedule
I would love to see North Wilkesboro return TBH also Elk Ridge wouldn't work physically. A newspaper article I read said that Fairbanks Alaska had reached 70 degrees around the same time you posted the race.
Unless this is one of the last races of the season (It would have to be a night race) I doubt it would work.

* Talladega, Saint Petersburg, Texas, Appleton, Decatur, Rockford etc. should return
* Go to the figure 8 Buffalo Speedway not the dirt track
* Mid-Ohio
* This street track called Thorton
* New York Autoring
* I liked North Wilksboro when it was on the schedule in 2010.
More to come later

this is ARLA we are talking about, the same series that had a rain race on a superspeedway, and that too wouldn't work at 200+ MPH.Mother of Invention wrote:I would love to see North Wilkesboro return TBH also Elk Ridge wouldn't work physically. Have you not figured out why your stuff has been mysteriously disappearing from the league? Please take the damn hint and go away, because you have been a condescending douchebag for your entire (undeserved, I should add) stay.

Wow, I wish someone had told me this earlier. I was blissfully unaware i had come off that way. I definitely need to fix that.
I am so sorry, the last thing I want is to come off that way.

Here's my updated take on the 2012 schedule. 1 superspeedway, 5 speedways, 6 road courses, 8 short tracks. Still keeping with ARLA's roots.

Maybe it's really IRP?
I don't know how well the new bodies will work on superspeedways IMO. For some reason I don't think those cars should run on anything longer than 1.5 miles, or 2 miles if you really want to push it.

I would love to see how Montreal will do. And I really like having Salem on the schedule. There's a full race on YouTube of an old Salem race that is one of my favorites.

Re: Suggestions for the 2012 Schedule
Maybe change the field size for next year. One idea I had was run three races, make them shorter than this year's, and put like 30 cars in each race. That way more cars can run each week, and the points will be closer. Just saying, don't really think that 42 car fields would work for the new body style.

Riki Raceway is already in this canon as the New York Autoring. But "the Nemoto Speedway at Irwindale" is a good idea.

I like the way ARLA may be going with the added short tracks. The only problem I see is how many cars numberous short tracks can hold.
