Possible Future Formula 1 Tracks Empty Possible Future Formula 1 Tracks

Post by f1fan12 Tue Nov 15, 2011 6:37 am

I had read an article on Sunday, it said that Formula 1 is interested in a few different tracks. I will try to find it today, anyway I will tell you what the possible tracks and confirmed tracks are, please give me insight.

2012- Circut Of the Americas
2013- Port Imperial Street Circut
2013- Possible return of the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard
2014- Russian Grand Prix

Possible Returns

-Imola, On a renovated circut, I belive they might have taken out the final chicane making the run down to tamberello flat out.
-Paul Ricard, Unkown about any renovations since the last race, but Bernie wants it back
-Brands Hatch, This one seems like a long shot with the recent upgrades to Silverstone
-A possible new Japeneese Track, I am all for it, and I haven't been quiet about my dislike for Suzuka

-Dijon-Prenois-I'm interested in seeing how the modern Formula 1 cars get around that place.
-Circuit Park Zandvoort-The modern day layout.
-Also, get rid of Bahrain. Sleep

Magny Cours for France Wink
Suzuka isn't bad, when you have Koby beasting there.
Brands Hatch isn't really one of my favourite tracks at all, I'd take Silverstone over it any day.
Imola haunts me when you have 1 weekend with 2 deaths and Rubens Barrichello nearly swallowing his tongue.
I don't know what Paul Ricard nor Dijon-Prenois looks like (even though I have heard of both.)
Zandvoort would be crazy with some of the banking it has in some of the corners.
I agree with Bahrain being boring.

Dijon-Prenois kinda looks like Hidden Valley.

I'd like to see Imola back, because the new track is actually a great facility.

I don't see Suzuka leaving anytime soon, which is a good thing IMO.

Paul Ricard coming back is a possibility, as I can't see France going without a Grand Prix for too long.

Silverstone is pretty much locked in for the British GP For at least a few years due to the recent changes to the track.

Also, Bahrain sucks...especially with the new "phallic" section they added on recently.

There is this one F1-manager thing (tommykl knows as well) where, not only do they have several tracks, they are all well-detailed from satellite photos. Here's the link:http://www.myracingcareer.com/en/track/

My personal favourites:

Autopolis(Japan)
Adelaide
Brno
Mas Du Clos(France)
Poznan(Poland)
Slovakiaring
Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez
Orlando Moura(Brazil)
Ellinkon(Greece)

Brno, and Imola have safety issues that need to be addressed before F1 tries going back.

I belive Imola's saftey issues have been adressed. I belive Suzuka is more dangerous then Imola.
Also, there are worse tracks on the schedule than Bahrain. Cataluya for example, and Abu Dhabi (Pre DRS)

EDIT: Bahrain will not be using the endurence circut anymore. There using the old one again.

Anybody that says Suzuka sucks needs to get their head examined.

I would like to see them go back to Imola or France in general. Get rid of Bahrain though

I don't think Suzuka sucks, just dangeruos. Example: High speed S bends and little run off room in one section. The whole track has minimal run off room, minus the Spoon Curve and the first turn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGtHCJPZZMw (What if another car was coming)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPUt3JJJV7o&feature=related

The track is very good, but the runoff and the closeness of the barriers, mixed with the tracks high speed, isn't a good mix.

We are all forgetting the race in Jersey, which I very well might be going to.

I say we just send 'em to Eldora and give them a 150 lap showdown! Who's with me?

How about Daytona Road Course? Or Homestead for the matter?

I would choose Homestead over Daytona, even with the road course section, Daytona would be a little too fast for F1 cars....

The closest V8 Supercars track to me is Queensland Raceway, which would be unsuitable for a MASSIVE CROWD nor be anything enough near a open wheel F1 track. The 2nd is Surfers and well, most of you's know how good it was for CART and Champ Car.

Well, yeah, you have a point to that. But still it's common to have thunderstorms though here.
