Alex Zanardi

Post by Mystrsyko on Tue Nov 08, 2011 1:13 pm

Alex Zanardi, former CART champion, famous for losing his legs in a crash in Germany, still continues his winning ways, by finishing first in the handcycling class of the New York Marathon. This was apparently part of his training for the 2012 Paraolympic games. Honestly, what can this guy not do?

I just read that the other day and was ecstatic about it. Zanardi's been training for the Paralympics for quite some time, and to be honest, I think he can do it.

My eyes got opened to this guy when I read an SI article about his crash soon after it happened. It's been great seeing him rebound.

Zanardi really is an inspiration. Check out a video of when he went on Letterman if you haven't seen it.

Some people would take this as a step back and an excuse as to not do what they want to achieve. Alex has displayed the complete opposite of this. Great job! Smile
