Scott Bates Designs Car for Sprint Cup Series

This was in an email that ernhrtfan1 forwarded to me. I thought you'd all like to hear about it.

Wanted make you aware of a unique segment tonight on SPEED at 6pm. During one of the segments, JJ Yeley will be a guest on the show. Also on set will be the Vampt branded #38 Front Row Motorsports car he will be driving in the Kobalt 500 next week at Phoenix International Raceway. Why would I send out an email about a car being on the set of a SPEED program when they are on there many times?

Well, the reason this is unique is that the car was designed by a very special man, Scott Bates. Scott is US Marine veteran, who also happens to be a quadriplegic. Through a special system he is able to create incredible works of art. Scott has spent the last few weeks developing the design. Also, with the Phoenix race being held on Veterans Day weekend, you will also see some patriotic elements integrated into the car. One of his lifelong dreams has been to be able to design a NASCAR Sprint Cup car and now it's become reality.

Tonight on the show (not sure at what point in show the segment will air), JJ, will among other things, talk about Scott and his incredible talent.

I hope you get a chance to catch the show and see what Scott was able to design.

I think Scott deserves a round of applause for this. :]

Thanks for all the compliments I still cant believe this is all happening I am for sure going to talk up the forum and all the painters we have. I am sorry I dont get on here very much I look at the forum a lot but dont reply because I type very slow, my daughter is typing for me now. Again just wanted to thank everyone.

Reading the article, when was that ARCA race and who was going to race that car before the car was wrecked?
