First paintjob in a while/possible decatur entry
Originally, i was gonna convert the Mtn Dew White Out car to the striker base, but due to some difficulties, i ended up making another car. This is the result. (btw, i'm hoping to run falken tires if possible for the decatur race.)
Template: Lycoia Striker by gwoodard41
Sponsors: Google, Masgrafx
Numbers: Masgrafx
Base: I forgot, it's a fictional base.

Base is simple yet still energetic. I like it.
I don't know why, but the numbers seem like they could use an adjustment. Maybe make them a TINY bit wider.
Needs more associate sponsors. Also, Falken isn't going to be allowed seeing as Cooper is the official tire supplier.

Kick-Ass!
When uploading to be placed in the race, don't forget to hide mask layer
I would agree to the 'more' associate sponsors I would recommend adding a sponsor along the bottom of the rear quarter panel.
Also, I don't know if it was intentional, but I see a sliver of dark green near the rear spoiler on the decklid, If you just use a retangle select tool, you can just over lap that and not worry about coloring the spoiler.
The Falken on the rear is off center, I would recommend right clicking the layer in the layer tabs and selecting alpha to selection then go to layer and hit the crop to selection.
Yes, the tire brand is Cooper Tires, I left a huge list of different colored cooper tire logos.
You could shoot me that through sendspace (put in a compressed folder .xcf or .psd format)
the numbers, I'm liking the shadow thing, but what I would do is adjust the layer size to make the side numbers wider and keep the height about the same.
Though it's not important, but I would recommend adding your driver's name to the roof, a 10 pt to 12 pt font works well, white font usually.
Oh, the bottom black stripe on the rear appears to be gray instead of black, I'm not sure what happened there.
To give credit where it's due, the striker was based off the velocity template, and it's the major reason why I edited my brute template to include the grills it has.

I would agree to the 'more' associate sponsors I would recommend adding a sponsor along the bottom of the rear quarter panel. Usually, i go for less associates and more main sponsors but i'll try and find a couple more associate sponsors
Also, I don't know if it was intentional, but I see a sliver of dark green near the rear spoiler on the decklid, If you just use a retangle select tool, you can just over lap that and not worry about coloring the spoiler. That sliver of dark green is due to the design i used. it had a little part for the spoiler, but i didn't know that the lycoia had a black spoiler so hence why it is there

Yes, the tire brand is Cooper Tires, I left a huge list of different colored cooper tire logos. Yeah i knew that, however if i was allowed to by Cynon, i'd run Falken instead. Before using Falken i had settled on a green coopertires logo.

the numbers, I'm liking the shadow thing, but what I would do is adjust the layer size to make the side numbers wider and keep the height about the same. Actually, the reason why the numbers were so skinny was because the numbers looked so akward with their regular width, so i ended up making them skinnier.
Though it's not important, but I would recommend adding your driver's name to the roof, a 10 pt to 12 pt font works well, white font usually. I've never really enjoyed putting my driver's name on the roof, hence why it's staying blank for now.
Oh, the bottom black stripe on the rear appears to be gray instead of black, I'm not sure what happened there. Template glitch, i couldn't fix that.

Okay...
there is a spoiler color layer above the rear spoiler layer, it's hidden, but right click on the layer in the layer and click alpha to selection, and fill that with the dark green.
It'll be under spoiler Gradient.
You have to make the layer visible to show any difference.

I'll probably work on a second version of the car later.

Now that i think about it, the falken looks kinda crappy on this car. I'm definitely changing it up for when decatur comes around.

Re: First paintjob in a while/possible decatur entry
the gray skirts kind of ruin the scheme, i would either make them black or continue the base over the top. i'd also like to see the hood logo a bit larger and the falken logo looks funky. also, i usually like to keep my tape color consistent. the valence tape is yellow, the spoiler tape and jack "arrow" are white, and the hood pin tape is black. personally, i would make them all yellow because it will pop with the black and green. solid effort, but the small details make the car.

For me, the base just dosent have the POP factor. Like the mtn dew logos do.

Change th lighter green streaks to red and silver mix and thin them out. Then, change the black to a lighter green. Try that.
