Re: PCC Europe Czech Republic Pre-Race Thread

Post by Syzygy on Tue Nov 13, 2018 1:59 am

Qualifying was split into two rounds. The first round, containing all cars, was 20 minutes in length. The second round, containing the top twenty drivers from the first round, lasted 10 minutes.

In the first round, Davy S. Flymflam and Ruby Kousaka were both in incidents that damaged their primary cars beyond repair. On her warmup lap, Ruby Kousaka was turned by Kristoffer Laaksonen in a braking zone and went head-on into a tire barrier. Kousaka was uninjured, but the front end of the car was destroyed. Luckily for her, her crew was able to quickly prep the backup car, and by the time she got back to the pits she was able to get out on track in her backup car to set a qualifying time. Davy S. Flymflam was not so lucky, as he was hooked by Izaak Kowalczyk and went driver's side first into the tire barriers. Flymflam would withdraw from the event after his only car was destroyed, and he would escape with only minor cuts and bruises.

In the second round, Leonid Chernov had set the seventh-fastest lap time, but on his cool-down lap blew the gearbox in this #61 LUKOil Lada. As a result, the team will have to change the transmission and he will have to go to the rear of the field.

Davy S. Flymflam loses arm in practice incident, regrows it back

In some form of logic breaking medical miracle, Davy S. Flymflam, a PCC Cup Series driver hailing from the small uninhabited Navassa Island, lost his arm in a terrible crash at the Brno Circuit in the Czech Republic.

He was rushed to a local hospital where they amputated his arm, but seconds after the doctors cut off his arm, it mysteriously grew back. Nobody knows how he managed to grow back his arm, since normal humans cannot regenerate limbs. People have tried asking Flymflam how he is able to do that, to which Flymflam only responded with quotes from the Fruit of Grisaia anime.

He was released from the hospital soon after, still suffering from minor cuts and bruises.
