F1 stays in Asia and heads to Japan for the start of the final quarter of the season. After a generation end in Malaysia, we move on to life without Malaysia being on the calendar until further notice. Lets get to some headlines.

Max is Back

F1 has had a very good season when it comes to the number of race winners in 2017. Malaysia gave us our 5th winner of the season with Red Bull's Max Verstappen taking his 2nd career win in what is possibly the last F1 race in Malaysia. Max joins Red Bull teammate Daniel Riccardo, Lewis Hamilton, Valterri Bottas, and Sebastian Vettel as a race winner in 2017. While the titles are out of reach for Red Bull in 2017, 2018 is looking to see a rejuvenated Red Bull squad make their way to the front.

Vettel's Vicious Effort

Ferrari had a rather dismal weekend in Malaysia. Kimi Raikkonen did not see the start of the race while his teammate Sebastian Vettel had to go from the back of the grid to finish 4th. While Vettel's drive was definitely note-worthy, it did not help him get closer to title rival Lewis Hamilton who finished 2nd. If Vettel and Ferrari want to stop Lewis Hamilton from claiming his 4th drivers title, they are running out of time.

Who's Going to Williams?

One of the main seats in F1 that is available for 2018 is at Williams to be the teammate for Lance Stroll. Felipe Massa is rumored to be out of his ride and there have been some very interesting names thrown out to replace him. Early on, Fernando Alonso was thrown out but no one is sure if he is going to Indycar or not. Another name that has been thrown around is Robert Kubica, who would be making his first F1 race since 2011. Paul di Resta, who replaced a sick Massa in Hungary, has also been rumored for this ride.

Ferrari plz.

Also one of the crazier moves of the silly season, F1 for the first since i think 2002 is going to be on ABC/ESPN for the 2018 season.

It is official, this will be Jolyon Palmer's last race with Renault. Carlos Sainz will make his race debut for Renault in Austin. Pierre Gasly will finish the season with Toro Rosso alongside Daniil Kvyat.
