RIP Roy Halladay
Announced not too long ago, 2-time Cy Young award winning pitcher Roy Halladay passed away after a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico at the age of 40. At this time, nothing much is known about the cause of the crash but Roy will be missed by everyone.
Roy Halladay played 16 seasons in the MLB between stints with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies. He was 1 of 6 pitchers to win the Cy Young award in both the AL and the NL. Roy is also well known for throwing the 2nd no hitter in postseason history as a member of the the Philadelphia Phillies.
A statement has been released by the Phillies about Roy's passing.
