- Spoiler:
- Delgado Falls From 11th to 15th in Final Segment
In his second race as the 3rd Lenard International driver, Tom Delgado started well in the back and moved up through attrition. By the final restart, he was in 11th. Even though he's known as one of racing's greatest finishers, Delgado uncharacteristically went backwards and by the end, he had fallen to 15th in the order. Despite a solid effort coming from the back, the "Devil in Red, White, and Blue" was his own harshest critic.
"The car was great. It was nice and fast, drove fine, nothing wrong with it. Today, it was the driver that was bad. I did a terrible job today, didn't take advantage of opportunities to move up like I used to. Didn't race as aggressively as I usually do. Some might look at that as a good thing, but I don't. I look at it as me getting old right before your eyes. There were plenty of chances to pass and move up, but I simply couldn't pull it off. My reflexes were off today. Can't even use the excuse that I'm lousy on short tracks, I was just awful all around today." Delgado said, admitting that he was way off his game today.
As Dan Mullen eluded to in the broadcast, Tom Delgado will be at Decatur with a chance to redeem himself, and he has a very good chance of doing that given his strong track record on the famous road course (2nd in 2010, 17th in 2013). Despite what he saw as a poor showing today, he should be happy about back to back points-paying finishes.

- Jon Dilks Post Race:
- Jon Dilks was taken, and eventually released from the infield car center. "That was a hard hit!" He said, as he stood before reporters, "I'm a bit loopy, but when you get hit as hard as I was, you'd be loopy too." He said, as he took a deep breath, and nodded, "Thanks to the 17 driver. I tried to go high and give him room down low, and I was told clear behind him, but we were wrong, and when we met, he took that sharp turn into the wall. I'm glad he's ok and all the others. Lotta stupid on that race track today. Almost got caught up in more than one crash. Shame. We had a top 10, maybe top 20 going, but we just needed another foot."

- Chaiter's promising day in ruins:
Chaiter, after having his qualifying session waived, decided to continue and in his own words "just make the best of it-."
After starting 43rd of 46 positions, Chaiter would slowly climb up the rankings as other opponents fell left and right. At one point during the race, Chaiter would skip yellow-flag pitstops and come out in the sixth position all the while after being run into by Kuznetsov under yellow.
After some great battling with the #50 of Atkins and #10 of Nosova, Chaiter would climb to second place forlorn from the bumper of Roquetta. During this period, Chaiter would slowly fall back a bit and would eventually fall a lap down due to a green-flag pit stop that would send half the field a lap down because of a yellow-flag incident.
After being a lap down for most of the entirety following the yellow-flag pitstop incident, Chaiter would be involved in the lap 95 huge wreck taking out many drivers. Though Chaiter made out with a bit of damage, his race would continue, albeit, hampered heavily after receiving more heavy damage to his back-end.
Chaiter would continue to fall back and would not score points at the end of the race. Unfortunate for him, with such a promising run ahead of him.

- Spoiler:
- Webster Impresses Once Again in TMMC at Chicago
Zack Webster returned to TM Master Cup Series action this afternoon at Chicago as a Promoter's Option for Power Steering, Incorporated. Unlike the Karjala Consolation Race where Webster had to fight his way from the rear of the field, Webster started the day in 11th and quickly picked his way well inside the top 10.
Webster did not remain in the front all day, as a couple of cautions during pit cycles set Webster back in the field. He was able to work his way back toward the front both times.
On the final restart, Webster was able to take advantage of an 8th place restarting position to make a charge for the top 5 in the final laps. Webster momentarily got caught up behind a fellow competitor running out of gas off of the final corner, and would have to settle for a 6th place finish.
"All of the credit goes to these guys at Power Steering, Incorporated. They've given me amazing cars in every opportunity I've had to drive for them. We drove through the field at Karjala,
and we did it again twice today. There's a lot of talent out here in this field. For us to get 6th in a field like this is something really special. We had a blast out there today, and we hope to get back out on the track again soon."

- Packer Carroll's day @ Cicero:
- PACKER PULLS OUT SHOCKING RESULT @ CICERO WITH RUNNER-UP FINISH
It had been so long since Manticore driver Packer Carroll had tasted any kind of success in the TM Master Cup Series, you'd think he won the race at Chicago Motor Speedway even though he finished 2nd.
In a big break from the norm, Manticore Engineering provided Carroll with perhaps the best car he's had since signing with the team, and with just three races remaining until his time in Master Cup comes to a close, at least for now, it seemed like now was as good a time as any to give him a good car.
The biggest obstacle that seemed to be in Packer's way all day was lapped cars. On restarts, he would usually start in the top 5, but with lapped traffic on his inside, it would take him several laps to get clear, and by that point, he had already lost several positions. However, the car was so fast, he would make the positions back up several laps later.
On the final lap, well clear of Axel Andersson and good friend Alexis Rainsford, Packer was in position to finish on the podium in 3rd, when the 14 car of Carlos Roquetta began slowing down in front of him. By opting to go high, Packer secured his first silver trophy of his Master Cup career and his fifth career podium.
When he was finally called to the podium to receive his silver trophy, it was the most emotion that had been seen out of him since his monumental victory at Road Gatineau back in 2012.
Afterwards, his post-race interview with reporters was still laced with just as much excitement.
PACKER: Wow, I can't believe we got to the podium! This is beyond awesome. After the crappy year we've had, this honestly feels like a win. I haven't felt this excited since our Karjala run, and that was a prett big deal in and of itself. I was talking with Alexis right before the podium ceremonies, and he even she was shocked at how good my car was today. Of course, it was the same car we had at Argentina, which was a somewhat similar track to Chicago, and we had a good setup for that race as well, so we decided to bring it back for this race and see what happens. Glad we did. Just wish the lapped cars would've gotten out of the way, because I think we could've challenged Ian for the win if we had the chance. Our car was that good.
When asked about his teammate Louis Kingston, who was involved in a hard crash in turn 4, Packer's mood dampened somewhat.
PACKER: Yeah, that was an ugly crash. But Adrian checked on him after he got out of his car, and seemed to be doing okay despite that crash, so that was good, because that looked vicious as all hell, and I know what it's like to be in a bad wreck. After nearly being killed at Decatur last year, you tend to know what a bad wreck looks like when you see it. But he seems to be doing alright.
Packer's runner-up finish is just his second top 10 finish of the season, but is also his second consecutive points finish.

- Spoiler:
- Moore Snags Solid 12th Place Finish
After what has been a mostly frustrating season, Thomas Moore finally attained some fortune and speed and used a combo of the two to take 12th place at Cicero. This 12th place comes after a spin, which Moore managed to keep off the wall, that sent him to the back of the lead lap. Moore said, "The car was really great today. That tire test helped the on track performance with us and the #23 guys. I'm so happy for the team. They deserve it after all the hard work they've put in the process of bringing Team Saar USA back to the top of the grid. We're getting there and this is nice step up." Moore's prior best finish of the season was 11th at Quincy when he drove the #19.

Derrike Chaiter hospitalized with a fractured tibia
After the race, Derrike Chaiter was unable to get out of his car without help. He was taken to a nearby hospital. After several hours, Chaiter was confirmed with a closed fracture on his left tibia.
"News has flown back to us that Chaiter is currently in surgery to repair his fractured leg. More information is coming in as we speak." David Dunnel, Chaiter's spotter confirmed.
"Following the Lap 95 wreck, Derrike Chaiter continued his race with a mostly undamaged car. However, during the final laps of the race, Chaiter began to complain to me about his left leg hurting more and more as the race lingered on. - His mic chipped in with about 20 laps to go;"
"Jesus David, my leg is really really hurting - I feel as if that wreck might have done me in more than I thought. I will see if I can finish these last laps. Aye, this hurts like h*ll."
"Considering the situation, Chaiter may or may not make Decatur. With his permission, we'll have a replacement ready just in case - Hospital says he might be able to race, but that is left up until he is out of surgery and his full diagnosis is complete - all we have at this moment is Chaiter has a fracture and is in surgery. Stay with us."
-20 minutes later-
"We've a bit of good news! We have received word from the hospital that Chaiter is out of surgery - We have also received word that he will likely be able to race in Decatur in a few days."
-- "To quote the phone call, "Derrike Chaiter is out of surgery and is doing very well. We discovered a simple fracture on his left tibia. Easily reparable. However, it is up to Chaiter if he feels up to standing or racing with crutches. -laughs- He will likely be able to come home in the morning." Good news from the Chaiter group!"
"More to come of this situation soon."
