The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Empty The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series

Post by bsoyuz Sun Apr 23, 2017 12:26 pm

Remember when we did the "PREDICT THE FUTURE" thingy a few years ago. How about we do it again, this time, 5 years from now. What do you think NASCAR's field will look like in 2022.

Here are my thoughts

- The Chase is retained by NASCAR, Monster walks out by 2021, which was their lastyear after an additional 2 year extention of the title sponsoship contract. So yeah, the NASCAR Cup Series was left without a title sponsorship. Hooray...

- The four manufacturers are still Ford, Toyota, Chevy and Dodge (returning in 2020).

so let's go to the teams

Fenway Motorsports - Dodge

Jack Roush got too damn old goddammit. So he gave what remained of the team to Fenway for good. Fenway doesn't want to spend a shitbucket of cash in NASCAR, so the team downsizes to 1 car only. Jack also ragequit the Ford stable in 2020, so he went to form the first of the new Dodge teams.

#6 - Ryan "Wilfred Brimley" Reed

Joe Gibbs Racing - Toyota

Joe also got too damn fucking old. Did you expect him to live forever.

In 2018 : "I'm retiring" - Matt Kenseth

#11 - Matt Tifft
#18 - Kyle Busch (2020 Champion)
#19 - Daniel Suarez
#20 - Erik Jones

Hendrick Motorsports - Chevrolet

Those Chevrolet rascals, winning championships and shit.

#5 - William Byron
#24 - Chase Elliott
#48 - Jimmie Johnson (2019 Champion because fuck you it's not your prediction)
#88 - ConcussionMaster88 Justin Allgaier

Penske Racing - Ford

So Ryan Blaney is never getting to the main team

#2 - Brad Keselowski
#22 - Joey Logano

Wood Brothers Racing - Ford

hahahahhahahaha you're never making it into the full-time main team

#21 - Ryan Blaney

Stewart-Haas Racing - Chevrolet

did you expect Kurt to live forever, he probably got a heart attack from raging in 2018, so he retired. Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer are only in the team because they need to teach MMA to Cole Custer and JH.

#4 - Kevin Harvick
#8 (fuck Teresa Earnhardt) - John Hunter Nemechek
#14 - Clit Clint Bowyer (2021 Champion)
#41 - Cole Custer

Biagi DenBeste Racing - Dodge

LATINO HEAT, LATINO HEAT, LATINO HEAT, LATINO HEAT

#98 - Aric Almirola/Nelson Piquet Jr.

Petty Motorsports - Dodge

so we got a new Petty kid. Can I have uhhhhhhhhh Ryan Truex. Ryan Truex machine working my dude, but you get a Michael Annett as bonus.

#43 - Ryan Truex
#44 - Michael Annett
#46 - what fucking name is Thad Moffit

Chip Ganassi Racing - Chevrolet

Jamie McMurray won his last race in Talladega 2020, however he cried so much he suffered from dehidration and never was able to race again.

#1 - Tyler Red-dick, wait what
#40 - Brennan Poole
#42 - Kyle Larson (2018 Champion)

JTG Daugherty Motorsports - Chevy

They kidnapped Chris Buescher because Roush had too many drivers.

#37 - Chris Buescher
#47 - AJ Heimerdinger

GMS Racing - Dodge

#23 - Spedman Gallardo

Front Row Motorsports - Dodge

nobody even cares about who drives for this team

Premium Motorsports - all of them

they do say Coca-Cola, brazilians, Michael Waltrip, cockroaches and Premium Motorsports are able to survive the nuclear apocalypse.

CircleSport-TMG - Chevy

something something RCR something something Double Dale

#33 - Rence Brown

Leavine Family Racing - Chevy

#95 - Matt DiBeneditto

The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Empty Re: The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series

Ok, some of the things are just me making assumptions that are definitely going to be incorrect. You can take this all for one giant shitpost.

Hendrick Motorsports - Chevrolet
#5 - William Byron
#24 - Chase Elliott
#25 - Alex Bowman
#84 - Kyle Larson
Overview: Johnson eventually gets eight titles and retires some time before 2022, considering he doesn't seem like the type who would have much left to prove at that point, he would also be 47 years old, older than Gordon was when he hanged it up full-time. Everything else here is pretty much self explanatory.

Joe Gibbs Racing - Toyota
#11 - Matt Tifft
#18 - Kyle Busch
#19 - Daniel Suarez
#20 - Erik Jones
Overview: Kenseth retires and Lake Norman police raid Denny Hamlin's giant cocaine dispensary.

Team Penske - Ford
#2 - Brad Keselowski
#12 - Ryan Blaney
#22 - Joey Logano
Overview: I don't see this changing, I think if sponsorship materialized Penske would start a 3rd car for Blaney.

Roush Fenway Racing - Ford
#6 - Ryan Reed
#16 - Ty Majeski
#17 - Ricky Stenhouse
Overview: UGH

Stewart-Haas Racing - Ford
#4 - Chris Buescher
#14 - Clint Bowyer
#41 - Cole Custer
#44 - Lewis Hamilton
Overview: Hmmm........yeah.

Chip Ganassi Racing - Ford
#1 - Brennan Poole
#40 - Sage Karam
#42 - Tyler Reddick
Overview: Not the best driver lineup for Ganassi.

Richard Childress Racing - Chevy
#3 - Austin Dillon
#27 - Daniel Hemric
#31 - Ty Dillon
Overview: I think Hemric might turn out to be good, and be better than these two pinheads RCR has parading around in the other two cars.

Furniture Row Racing - Toyota
#77 - Harrison Burton
#78 - Martin Truex, Jr.
#79 - Christopher Bell

Germain Racing - Chevrolet
#13 - Kyle Weatherman

Schwiftpost Racing - 1984 Pontiac Fiero
#69 - Korbin Forrester
#420 - Noah Failson
#666 - Giedo van der Garde
