- Round 1 - China:
- Fochesato Achieves Podium in Formula B Debut
7 April 2017
FIAM Junior Team racer Vincenzo Fochesato scored a second-place finish in the season-opening Formula B Chinese Grand Prix, earning himself a trip to the podium in his first ever start in the championship.
Fochesato may not be considered a typical FB racer by most. While the majority of the field consists of men and women who grew up with aspirations of racing in Formula A, his background comes from American stock cars. After moving to the United States from Italy at a young age, he grew up racing karts, midgets, and short track late models before breaking onto the national scene in what is now the FARC Lowe Dollar Series.
In 2013, at the age of 20, Fochesato would be hired by FIAM Engineering to compete in the premier race of the TM Master Cup Series; the Karjala Grand Prix. Since then, the Italian's racing career has followed a most unusual path, first taking him across the pond to compete in touring cars only to return to stock cars the following year, both in the popular Dash Cup series.
This year, FIAM has downsized its Dash Cup efforts, leaving Fochesato without a ride in the series. But the Como-based operation had other plans for the young driver, placing him behind the wheel of car #2 in Formula B. Despite his lack of experience, the 24-year-old has adapted to his new surroundings remarkably quickly, ranking seventh in qualifying yesterday in Shanghai - despite the session taking place during rainfall - and working his way into second-place by the conclusion of the main event.
"I've suprised myself before, but I can hardly believe this!" said an elated Fochesato from the second step of the podium. "This is absolutely incredible that I'm actually here, in my very first race; it's such an amazing feeling after so much hard work, by the team and the crew over the winter to get me prepared for this transition, to know that it's all paid off. And this result is all thanks to them! They've been with me every step of the way, and let me tell you; I'm not convinced that I can actually drive a car well enough to finish second; they just built the car so well that it made my work easy!" he said with a laugh. "Giancarlo scored points, too, in spite of where he started, so there's another example of how capable that our cars are. This was a great day for us both, a great day for FIAM, a great day for everyone! I cannot thank the team enough for all that they've done to get me here, and I cannot wait for Bahrain!"
With Fochesato's runner-up finish combined with teammate Giancarlo Corelli's equally-impressive eighth-place result, FIAM Junior Team have begun the 2017 season ranked second in the constructor's championship, behind only Neucom Motors, whose drivers Rena Hirose and Rika Nomura finished today's race at Shanghain in first and third, respectively.
The second race on the Formula B calendar takes place only one week after the first, and will be contested at Bahrain International Circuit.

Leureaux: I can't believe the lack of judgment on the part of the stewards. That was an atrocity of a start. Clearly there was more debris or oil on the pit lane because I could not turn to avoid the [pit] wall. Other drivers hit that too. It is not that we are braindead like officials and drive ourselves in. We got take out of a good run because we start the race knowing a sandstorm will happen. Unbelievable.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
Master Sport Australia is off to a decent going
The new team for the Master Sport Motorsports division of Australia has started their first two race weekends.
Chinese Grand Prix
To start their bid for the 2017 Formula B season, Lee Owen Merreweather and Jackson Harrows would qualify rather poorly after a rain jacked qualifying led a lot of the field astray. Harrows qualifying 13th, and Merreweather claiming a 19th place qualifying.
During the race, the duo slowly made their way up the ranks as some suffered failures, and other competitors fell to the wayside left and right. At the end of the day, both cars ran superbly and the duo would claim 7th and 9th; with Merreweather gaining 10 positions, and finishing 9th, while Harrows would claim 7th after gaining six positions from his starting spot.
The team would end that race weekend happily with a 7th and 9th championship standings.
Bahrain Grand Prix
The ecstatic duo would arrive to Bahrain and practice a bit before qualifying took place. Merreweather stunned by setting the pace to claim the pole position for Bahrain as the sandstorm neared. His teammate Harrows would claim a better place than the Chinese Grand Prix and make 11th.
The field started as the sandstorm dumped its wrath on the field, immediately, Merreweather, along with several others threw their positions away in turn 1 as grip was lost. Over the radio, Merreweather claimed "I've never driven in a sandstorm - sand was everywhere. Not a drip of grip. That was some crap, there."
Unfortunately, after the lap 1 shenanigans, both the 10 and 11 cars would receive damage and be faltered for the entire remainder of the race. Both drivers would not score points when the race finished. Harrows dropped five places to a 16th place finish, while Merreweather took 11th place.
After the race was over, reporters caught Merreweather as he was out to his hauler. "I do not even begin to understand what maylay and chaos that race was. One of the uttermost atrocious race conditions I've ever raced in! D*mn sand, nothing good about it." he seemed to mutter angrily. Later, reporters caught a much calmer Merreweather. "We are going to strut our capabilities next race." he said as he warmed up some milk and went to his hauler.
Spanish Grand Prix Qualifying
That they did. Harrows and Merreweather would both have their best [collective] qualifications yet. With Jackson Harrows taking a 2nd place grid spot, and his team mate Merreweather acclimating a 5th place qualification.
Much better of a showing from the Master Sport Motorsports, Australia division. We'll see where this goes after this week's race and the Spanish Grand Prix!

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
- Round 2 - Bahrain:
- Fochesato Unharmed After Heavy Impact Into the Barrier
15 April 2017
The Formula B Bahrain Grand Prix had not been underway for two laps before Vincenzo Fochesato crashed his FIAM hard into the Armco barrier, ending his race early.
The conditions under which the race began were bizarre to say the least, with a sandstorm enveloping the circuit mere moments after it began. Against all sound judgement, however, the officials did not suspend the race for several laps, leaving the twenty-two starters to hopelessly slip and slide around in the dust with little-to-no visibility until the red flag was finally displayed.
Prior to the red flag and amidst the chaos brought about by the conditions, Fochesato would find himself in the lead by turn 4, only to spin his car into the runoff. After spinning off the same corner the very next lap, he would try to get the car back up to speed and rejoin the racing surface once again. Instead, he drove directly into an Armco barrier as if he had failed to noticed its presence. It was a head-on impact at relatively high speed, but both the car and the barrier held up well, allowing Fochesato to escape uninjured.
While unharmed, the Italian was visibly displeased.
"I drove into a barrier because I couldn't see it" said Fochesato to reporters. "I crashed because I couldn't see the wall that was directly in my path. I know that I don't really have the right to be critical of the officials because I've never had to do their job before, but the fact that the race wasn't red flagged immediately is utter lunacy. I don't want to imagine how awful that it would have been if anyone had gotten hurt, and it's very fortunate that no such thing happened. Something needs to change in regards to the stewarding because that was beyond incompetence; that was madness.
"I know that I could have pulled the car into the garage before the start, and I'm truly sorry to the team for deciding not to do so and destroying a really good car. The fact that I crashed is entirely my fault. But we should never have been out there racing in the first place."
Fochesato was one of four driver who had retired by the time that the red flag was finally thrown, and thus was unable to take the restart later in the night. The second step of the podium, however, would be occupied by a FIAM Junior Team racer for the second time in as many races this season, as Fochesato's fellow Italian Giancarlo Corelli would nearly manage to drive to victory after the race restarted, only losing the lead to eventual winner Anna Babić of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the second-to-final lap.

Fochesato Earns Pole Position; FIAM Achieves Front Row Lockout at Monaco for Formula B
25 May 2017
FIAM Junior Team achieved a front row lockout after qualifications for the Formula B Monaco Grand Prix, placing both of its drivers in optimum starting positions for the fourth round of the 2017 championship.
This is the first instance in this season in which any team has placed both of its cars on the front row.
Formula B rookie Vincenzo Fochesato, piloting the team's car #2, earned the pole position for the first time in his open-wheel racing career. The 24-year-old has competed in numerous disciplines of silhouette car racing despite his age, but this weekend's race will be only the fourth start of both his Formula B career and in any open-wheel racing championship. Fochesato has found success on street circuits in the past, with the single pole position and two race victories to his name in the Dash Cup Super Touring era having come at Norisring in Germany.
Fochesato's teammate and fellow Italian Giancarlo Corelli will start from the second spot on the grid behind the wheel of car #1. Corelli, the veteran of Italian Formula C, has been putting his past open-wheel experience to use with three points-scoring finishes in as many races this season, in addition to having gained a net total of 12 positions over the course of those events.
Monaco happens to be the home race for FIAM on the Formula B calendar, with the principality being located just down the riviera from the French/Italian border and fewer than 400 kilometers from the team's base of operations in Como.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
- Monaco: Jay Mullens:
The start of the season for Jay Mullens in his rookie season in Formula B has been a roller coaster to say the least. While he did not score any points in China and Bahrain, he got people to notice him with his performance in Bahrain which saw him flirt with the podium before a mistake cost him a chance at points.
While his teammate Zachary Fitzwater Jr. stunned the field by grabbing a podium in Bahrain, Jay also put his name on the map by putting in a good showing at Bahrain. With the run that Fitzwater had, most thought Jay Mullens was just going to stay back at let Zachary shine. Jay made people think differently in Spain.
While Jay Mullens didn't make it out of Q1 in Spain, he kept his head down and drove to finish a surprising 10th scoring a well earned point. He got his first championship point and earned respect from his peers for his performance.
If people thought that Jay got lucky with that point in Spain, he showed his worth to not only his team but to the garage area. After qualifying 10th, he drove a very quiet race and used some pit strategy to finish a fantastic 5th place scoring 10 more points for the overachieving F.A.R. squad.
While their is still a large portion of the season to go, Jay Mullens is hoping that F.A.R., his teammate, and Jay himself can keep overachieving for the youngest team on the Formula B grid.

No offense, but I can hardly hear a damn thing you're saying in the Monaco video. Make sure 1) you're closer to your microphone and 2) that the background music is quieter. I learned that it's called background music for a reason the hard way.
Adrian Leureaux: I need more from the team. We are nonexistent when looking at the results and race footage. While we are not like the FIAM Junior Team or Neucom Inc., I feel that there is more to be gotten out of the team and the cars.

Jay Mullens Comments About Canada Penalty
After a controversial crash between race leader Vincenzo Fochesato and Jay Mullens, Mullens was subsequently handed a 1 race suspension for ignoring blue flags and "wrecking" the leader.
"Apparently officials didn't do a good job reviewing the footage" Mullens said. "Apparently making a small mistake entering the turn and having a person with a 30 second lead not being patient enough take me and himself out."
"Personally, I am furious with this decision" Mullens continued. "He (Vincenzo) damn near wrecks me coming out of 2 and took me out in turn 4. This not only is costing me a race during the season, this is costing my team points in the constructors title, and it cost me another points finish as I was running 9th."
"If Vincenzo, FIAM, or anyone else wants to talk to me about this atrocity of a decision, they better have a great reason as to why my view of the crash is not the right way to view it." Jay Mullens left the interview after making this last remark.

Shane Lake jumping into a Formula B car? Shane was approached by execs of Fitzwater Australia Racing about filling in for Jay Mullens who has been parled for a race following issues in Canada. Shane had this to say - "Talks? You wanna talk about talks? Well let me make this clear. They need me to fill in for Mullens im down for it. Just hope they got a big seat. Not many 6-4 open wheel racers *chuckles*"

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
Spanish Grande Prix
After qualifying very well in the Spanish Grande Prix, Harrows and Merreweather would run near the front all day and battling for first many times with several other drivers, the team would come home second and third after Harrows was beaten by a .015 margin.
"I'm fondly proud of me team. Great racing, great racing indeed. 'Tis a shame I could not make this .015 gap. Props to Sean Angel for great racing, and claiming the win over me and my grand teammate." - Jackson Harrows
That being said, Master Sport Australia left with high spirits.
Monaco Grande Prix
Yet another great qualifying run would befall both Master Sport drivers. With Harrows yet again qualifying third, while respectively, Merreweather claimed seventh.
Green lights would flash and the field would set off with Harrows having a rather mediocre start. Merreweather would fly off the start and would be ready to pounce on turn two.
After Harrows raced up front with Merreweather beside him, Merreweather would lose a tyre and have to pit, surrendering his great position to others. However, this did not bring Harrows down. He remained in the top three until Fitzwater was taken out by ludicrously idiotic behaviour from a driver.
"D*mn. I saw that in front of me. What bloody idiot driving! I sure hope Fitzwater is not going to kill that driver."
After this, Harrows would begin to close on the leader. He would hit the pits, and have a miracle of a pit stop, beating the leader out and sailing away to claim his first victory in Formula B. Having a short time to celebrate with his team, and in extremely high hopes, Harrows drove his car to the winner's circle and back flipped out.
After realizing he had won the race, Harrows excitedly greeted reporters with "Holy hell lads! I do not believe my eyes! -- My pit crew are the absolute kings! We had some excellent racing out there, but I am just so stoked to be in this winner's circle. I do have to feel for Fitzwater; taken out by sheer stupidity. I am getting that man a beer!"
"I am ecstatic for my team-mate. Unfortunately that tyre blow-out screwed me race, but I am still in high spirits! I am so proud of my young team-mate, Harrows! Great racing bud!" Merreweather stated in the championship circle with his team-mate present.
The team would leave in high spirits after Harrows would be tied for first with Babic. The team would also make leeway and claim second in constructor standings.
Canadian Grande Prix
Qualifying would be rather mediocre after two weekends of stellar runs and finishes. Harrows and Merreweather would, ironically, qualify eleventh and twelfth; their car numbers.
Showing decent speed, both drivers would make their way to the front and would eventually come home fourth and fifth; another great showing.
Leaving in superb spirits, Harrows would claim first position in the driver's standings after Babic failed to finish; a total of 10 points over Babic. Merreweather would be tied with Sean Angel for sixth - 30 points behind his team-mate.
More celebration came as Master Sport Australia claimed first position in the constructor's standings ahead of FIAM Juniour, 10 points ahead.
In high spirits, they will return for the next race weekend when the time comes.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
- Round 5 - Canada:
- Fochesato: Mullens' Comments "Incredibly Immature"
Controversy struck at last weekend's Formula B Canadian Grand Prix with eight laps to go, when race leader Vincenzo Fochesato of FIAM Engineering made contact with Jay Mullens of Fitzwater Australia Racing while attempting to lap him. The ensuing crash would eliminate Fochesato from the race, taking away his chance to achieve what appeared to be a near-certain victory. He had been maintaining a commanding lead over eventual winner Kevin de Vries of KWGP at the time that the incident occurred.
After the race, Fochesato was visibly upset, declining to speak to reporters until later in the day.
"All of our hard work was about to finally pay off. All that I had to do was to not throw away a mile-long lead, and a mistake by a lapped car takes us out. My crew should be celebrating their first victory, but now they have absolutely nothing to show for their efforts. This is absolutely the most painful outcome of any race that I've ever had to accept. I feel like I let everyone down."
Upon review of the incident, Mullens was dealt a one-race suspension, and will sit out the race at Silverstone while Shane Lake takes his place. The South African was quick to blame Fochesato for the incident and lambaste the officials over the penalty on which they decided.
The Italian was not in agreement with his fellow racer.
"I know that every driver makes mistakes, and I certainly make many of my own. But his comments are honestly rather confusing. When you do mess up, you need to own up to it. I wonder if maybe he was just too upset about the crash to realize what he was saying at the time, because the fact that he's proclaiming innocence makes him look really bad. He said it, himself; I had a substantial lead that my team gave me through an excellent strategy call. I had no reason to be wrecking lapped cars.
"He pushed wide in turn 2 so I went for the opening that he left. The contact off the corner was my fault, and he's right that that was my mistake. But he's the one who tried to out-duel the race leader into a one-groove corner so hard that he broke loose and wrecked us both, and that mistake cost my team both a car and a trophy. If you push yourself into a wreck, then you need to own up to it, and the fact that he hasn't is incredibly immature."
When asked whether he thought that Mullens' one-race suspension was warranted, Fochesato replied; "It's up to the officials to deal a penalty that they deem to be appropriate. That's not up to myself nor to any of the other drivers."
He would make no further comment regarding the incident.
Fochesato now ranks third in the championship standings, heading into the Formula B British Grand Prix. The race will be the first of the season to take place at a circuit at which the Italian has competed in the past; Silverstone was the sight of his first triple-points weekend in Dash Cup.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
Master Sport boys qualify well in British Grand Prix
Lee Merreweather, after having a near accident out of turn four, would set a second lap, with blistering speed. He would qualify second for the race. His team mate, after spinning out of turn two, would set a slower lap and qualify eleventh.
"I be yet again proud of our fantastical team" Merreweather stated in a pre-race press release. "--Our season has started out very very strong. I cannot thank my team. [list of names and other boring stuff] They're making this all happen, and I could not be more thankful. Never in my 15-year career have I had such a fun team as this, Jackson Harrows is an astounding young man with a brilliant shot ahead of him, to kick his career into full gear. I be speechless that my team could be first in points and constructor's standings. Even for the short time I've been here, I can tell this team is very strong-willed and friendly. I cannot wait for the rest of the season - to be out on track, but also have these brilliant men alongside me, and Harrows to race me hard, but to have fun."
"Well spoken, my friend. Along the lines of my team, I've been here for four months and have loved all bits of it. I am fondly excited for this remainder season, with these guys and Merreweather, the utmost respect for the guy, alongside of me racing supreme. -- I am ready to claim a win or more, and even fight hard for the championship. Bring it on, lads!" - Harrows
"Qualifying went splendid. We do not fap about when it comes to racing, mates. We are bringing our all for the race very shortly, watch out for us, lads!" Harrows stated to fans.
"I am so shocked and brilliantly delighted to have won a race, taken the points lead, as well as constructor standings. These Helsing cars are beyond great, and they've far exceeded my first impressions and expectations. I'm ready to race alongside my great friend Merreweather in the fight for the championship. Here we come." he again said to fans.
More information revolving around the MSA group will come out soon. Stay tuned!

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
Decent showing from MSA at British Grand Prix
After qualifying was decent, Merreweather, moreover would fall back as the race lingered on, finish sixth, while Harrows would climb four positions to finish seventh.
Now, there's a wicked three-way tie for constructor's standing, while Harrows is ahead one point in the championship bid.
We'll see them soon!

Harrows to be gone for a race weekend - Derrike Chaiter to accompany Merreweather in Hungary:
Shortly after qualifying at Great Britain, it was revealed that Jackson Harrows wife, Lilly Melissa is pregnant and close to birthhood of her twin daughters who have yet to be named.
Harrows cleared up questions in a hauler meeting with a few reporters within the truck. "My lovely and endearing wife is close to birth of my new daughters. I am unbelievably astounded and so excited. That does bring one race, or the possibility of more races into question. I have appointed me good mate Derrike Chaiter to replace me in Hungary as the twins come closer to meeting the great world. There be a chance I may miss more races, but that is dependant on what wife has to be saying."
Derrike Chaiter is confirmed to fill in for Harrows as long as he needs to reconcile with family matters.
"I will do my best, mate! Entrust me within that. Enjoy your lovelies! -Chaiter " Chaiter wrote on Harrow's whiteboard.
More information will pour in very soon. Stay tuned!
- British Grand Prix:
- Adrian Leureaux: [Walter] Stanton is a f***ing imbecile. Such a great qualify effort is wasted because of a driver not knowing how to exit his stall properly. Unbelievable. The team do a great job and someone who does not seem qualified to be driving here make it all go away. It is beyond frustrating. Good for Carlos, but we should be up there on the podium too.

- Round 6 - Britain:
- Vincenzo Fochesato: First of all, hats off to both Carlos [Zavala] and Hanmore. They did an outstanding job today, and for them to get this win at their home race, it's obviously really special for them. Don't get me wrong; I'd have loved to be up their on that top step, and I gave it absolutely everything that I had to try to take the lead at the end. Carlos just drove defensively to perfection and I also pushed myself a bit too hard into Abbey with two laps to go. I would have loved to have had a 46th lap to try it again. But man, that was exciting! I give a lot of respect to you for racing hard but clean. And also to Anna [Babić] and everyone else who I raced out there, too. This was the most exciting and the most enjoyable race this year for me, and hopefully we can all put on another great race at Karjala!
------------------------------
Fochesato Earns Pole Position at Karjala for Formula B
FIAM Junior Team racer Vincenzo Fochesato achieved the pole position for the Formula B Finnish Grand Prix, soon to take place at Karjala Raceway. This is his second pole position of the 2017 Formula B season, his first having come at Circuit de Monaco in May.
Fochesato has prior experience at Karjala, having qualified for the Karjala Grand Prix in 2014 while driving for Segafredo Euroteam, whose TM Master Cup efforts were closely aligned with FIAM Engineering.
"I'm so happy to have won the pole here!" said Fochesato to reporters. "This track is legendary for a reason, and I've really been looking forward to this race all year. It gives me a lot of confidence to know that we have the pace, but obviously we need to put a complete race together in order to pull it off. My crew has proved all year that they can do it, and as the driver, I'm going to try my best to give them the victory that they deserve!"
Starting on the outside of the front row will be Mattieu Strouf, the Hungarian driver for MacQuarrie Grand Prix who will be making his first start of the season after having been hired to replace American Kenny Myatt.
Fochesato's FIAM Junior Team teammate, Giancarlo Corelli, will start the race from the seventh spot on the grid.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
- Finnish GP Qualifying:
- Upset qualifying for MSA boys
Qualifying would go rather interesting for the Master Sport boys as Harrows would not set a time after wrecking out of qualifying. Merreweather 10th.
After blowing out a tyre, later discovered to be caused by debris off of the 7 car, Harrows, visibly upset punched his wreck of a car and did not speak to officials. A back-up car has been officialized, but Harrows has not had the qualifying he would have wanted. He has a tonne of work ahead of the lad.
Merreweather would have a decent qualifying session, and will start tenth on race day.
Harrows confirms more races to be held out
Shortly after qualifying, he stated to officials that one more race, including Hungary, have been knocked off his schedule as in to help his wife as she nears birth.
He stated that "I feel as if my calling is to be with her. As much as I have a passion for this here team and championship, I entrust my good bud Derrike Chaiter to take my car and do wonders for the Hungarian and Japanese Grand Prix's soon to come. However, I'm not going to miss Karjala. Special event in mine eyes and I want to win that race badly. I will not miss that one, lads. Championship is still going for me; no worries on me negating my championship bid - no, not happening. I will see you all shortly on track. I've be having a lot of work ahead of me. I be impressing and will do so again."
Derrike Chaiter, an Australian Rookie who has never stepped foot in an F1 car took on the challenge and will show up first at Hungary, and then in Japan, then return the 10 car back to Harrows.

- Finnish GP Qualifying:
Jay Mullens Returns, Qualifies Familiar 13th
After being suspended for the British GP, South African Jay Mullens made his return to the F.A.R. #23 for the Finnish GP. While Mullens sat out Britain, his fill in driver Shane Lake finished just outside the top 10.
"Shane did a fine job in Britain" Mullens said. "He kept the car in 1 piece and decided to not get involved with a certain FIAM driver. I will admit, I was impressed by Shane's performance."
With his punishment served, Jay Mullens steps back into the car for the Finnish GP. Jay made it to Q2 and qualified a very respectable 13th.
"13th is pretty good, with the way attrition has gone, points should not be too much of an issue" Jay commented. "I think we have a little bit of this car that the team has not tapped into yet that could be a major step forward."
When asked on whether or not Jay has gotten by the incident with Vincenzo, Mullens reacted with a short laugh, a sly smirk, and shaking his head, "there is no such thing as forgive and forget."

Will Shane Lake appear in Formula B again? Shane Lake was seen at Dawgfathers Bar and Grill over in Finland next to the track and said this "Hell i dont know. If someone needs me to fill in sure why not. Might help with my road racing for the fendered rides. But no offers are on the table yet."

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
- Round 7 - Finland:
- Leaders Collide at Karjala in Dramatic Formula B Finnish Grand Prix
21 July 2017
"It's beached."
Spoken with a tone of utter dejection, those were the only words that were heard over the radio of Vincenzo Fochesato in the moments after crashing out of the Formula B Finnish Grand Prix.
Not a minute earlier, Fochesato had been holding the lead over a pair of hard-charging Neucom Motors cars, with Rena Hirose looking for an opportunity to overtake the #2 car. Hirose attempted to pull alongside Fochesato through the exit of turn 6, but the two made contact, sending Fochesato spinning out of control. The car made light contact with the right-side wall, barely missing a head-on impact with an Armco barrier before careening back across the track in turn 7 and into the Armco on the other side. After having started from the Pole Position and having led most of the race up until that point, the incident effectively ended his chances to contend for the victory.
Hirose was subsequently disqualified from the race, handing the win to her Neucom teammate and fellow Japanese racer Rika Nomura.
This is the second instance in a span of three races in which Fochesato has been wrecked from the lead. In addition to car #2, the other FIAM of Giancarlo Corelli would also crash out of the race from the points when he and Alec McTrevors made contact while racing for position in the Dwyer S.
The 25-year-old rookie was uncharacteristically stern when he first spoke to the press following the race.
"For the moment, I only have my own perspective of the accident. I haven't talked to Rena yet, so I can't comment on it any further until I hear the other side of the story. All that I can say is that FIAM deserves so much more than this. Everything will come together at some point and this team will get the victory that everyone has been working for. Perseverance is in no short supply here."
Fochesato will leave Finland ranked third in the driver standings, 10 points behind Jackson Harrows and 18 points behind Anna Babić. FIAM Junior Team now ranks third in the constructor standings, 6 points behind Master Sport Australia and 18 points behind KWGP.

Re: Formula B *2021 Season*
Poor day for Master Sport Australia
Qualifying would result in interesting grid spots as Jackson Harrows' car would blow a tyre, hit the Dwyer S left wall and break. While it was a relatively slow crash, Harrows would go to a backup car anyways as for fear the 'main' car would break down during the race. Harrows, after failing to set a time, would start the race in 22nd. Merreweather would qualify tenth.
Green flag arose and both Merreweather and Harrows seemed to have a jump, but traffic would block them both in. Throughout the race, Harrows was slowly creeping forward, while Merreweather seemed to creep back.
Then on lap 7, Merreweather and [Jay] Mullens would crash. Merreweather would fall stuck in the sand trap while Mullens would drive off. Visibly upset, Merreweather spoke on radio chatter "Aye, I do feel quite poorly after that. I bloody took out an innocent bystander. Car kicked sideways a bit, Mullens came down, and into the wall we both were sent."
Shortly after making it to the pits, Merreweather, coming out of the pits, his rr tyre would blow out, sending him into the outside retaining wall on L1 shooting the car into a two and a half flip frenz snd laying to rest near tyre barriers. There was some worry, while the safety car was not sent out, but Merreweather was quick on the radio chatter to let his spotter, and race control know he was okay. "Ouch. That hurt, lads. I be okay though. Not a good day at all."
Harrows, after many cars fell left and right to the wayside, would come home seventh after starting 22nd. Harrows would fall to second in points standings, as well as constructor standings. Eight points behind Babic, and twelve points down on KWGP in constructor standings. Merreweather, with his non-points finish, would make his second DNF of the 2017 season. He would fall from eighth in the points to eleventh.
We'll see more of these lads soon, but Derrike Chaiter in replace for Harrows for a short time.
Master Sport Australia destined to return
After such a stellar first half season, it was already foretold that Master Sport Australia would be returning for 2018 in a mandated press release by team owner, Oliver Lapertinum.
"These young men have showed us the ropes we had been looking for for this season and absolutely have stolen the show. We're excited to see them back next year, and they certainly will be. Now, all Harrows has got to do is take the championship in his rookie year."
"Not much superlatively much is known for the stanza for the our team next year, but these Helsing F1 cars are for certain making a return. As a current situation, Heineken is likely to fade away after season's ended. Impressed with our runs so far, but looking for other competition. Harrows and Merreweather will be back, although, not confirmed as of yet. More information will arrive as the season goes on."
