There goes the #6 car from 11th. Lira was doing a good job for his first Daytona start.
The race has been fairly good thus far. Excited to see how the final 30 laps will turn out!
EDIT: And THAT will offically finish off the #6. There were a lot of heavy impacts in that crash.

Re: 2017 Lucas Oil ARCA 200 Driven by General Tire At Daytona
And I turn on the ARCA race to see that there was a big pileup......
Seriously though, did everyone walk away?
EDIT: Ouch, that was a really hard wreck. Also, that Vegan Power car; I wonder how many more stickers of that sponsor can be put into that cockpit.
EDIT 2: And now the rain has come. I have to admit the the last hole in the clouds which has bright sunshine poking out of it is pretty dang majestic.

Indeed, everyone has been released from the infield care center. About to go back to green with 24 laps to go! Hopefully the rain holds off through the finish.
Also, it's actually somewhat common to have the same logo placed inside of the car dozens of times (in stock cars, at least). I've always found that amusing, myself.

Long slide by Justin Fontaine, thankfully he is alright.
These last few laps might be brutal....
Also, Bobby Gerhart didn't win :dividebyzero:

I bet Leilani probably could have used the money from paying for these interviews to actually run more races

Confound it, the race has been called. The SAFER barrier in the tri-oval apparently requires repairs that cannot be completed in a timely fashion.
Austin Theriault is your winner! Fantastic job to him, and very happy to see Ken Schrader's team go to victory lane at Daytona! It's a huge shame that they couldn't race to the checkered flag; it was setting up to be a really good finish.

Unfortunate yet understandable that the race was called.
Congratulations Austin Theriault.
Also, isn't it a little ironic that Leilani is an environmentalist yet she races in a series that uses gas to fuel cars?

Race was Actually Pretty good but Gets an OK Rating From me due to lack of Finish.
Hopefully Nascar and arca will work together to have the Arca race start an hour earlier next year.
Reject of the Race Goes to Lelani Munters freaking vegan Thing.

Well, that's... kind of interesting, because there's a driver with the exact same name in the BAAR Super Pro Series.
The funny thing is, I didn't even know there were any real life drivers with the same name. Unreal...
Well, I got a laugh out of it, at least.
His number isn't 02, is it? Because if so, that would be really freaky.

Re: 2017 Lucas Oil ARCA 200 Driven by General Tire At Daytona
Well that was looking to be a typical ARCA Daytona race. Then there was the first big wreck, Michael Lira fucking drilled the #66, and the rest of the race pretty much ensured that the reputation ARCA gets wouldn't be left in 2010.
Justin Fontaine's wreck, though...I'm sure there's some idiot(s) out there complaining because that car didn't roll over a bunch of times, but that was a goddamn brutal hit. The last time I saw a car hit that hard on live television was probably Ben Kennedy at Talladega a couple years ago. They transferred Fontaine to Halifax, so I do hope he's alright...
And all I've really gotta say about the Leilani Munter crash is that we were predicting on the GOMA Discord that Bo LeMastus was gonna cause a big wreck pretty much since the restart.
GW Theriault. Wish that race could've been run to the end but whatever.

Re: 2017 Lucas Oil ARCA 200 Driven by General Tire At Daytona
First 40 were chill and then we got nostalgic for 2009.
Really messy ending their compounded with a technical non-finish. Kaz Grala i believe is trying to get approved for the Truck race next Friday and he in no way deserves it with how dangerous he was driving. GW for Austin didn't expect it but yet at the same time mad sense when he was the leader.
