Re: Race 15 (Appleton Speedway Fright Night)
- Spoiler:
- Patriot Racing succeeds at Appleton
The two Patriot Racing drivers did very well, in light of recent events, to come back and have a top 10 and top 15 finish in their respective rounds.
Barry Spengler, who raced in the first round conserved his fuel until at least half the field pitted for fuel, he took a 7th place finish, surprising many in the Patriot Racing camp, especially after the miserable round at Darlington the previous week. Kelly Splison avoided the first pile up during the second round, which was her scare for the night. She took a 15th place finish after the checkered flag was dropped, by far, this could be considered the team's best night.

- Spoiler:
- 25th not indicative of Camphausen's Run.
"We ran better then 25th. I drove better then 25th. The team put in more effort then 25th. Yet we finished 25th off of all things fuel mileage. They said fuel shouldn't be an issue, and I took their word for it. Well, fuel was and it cost me a good run. Oh well, will get'em next week at Rockford."

- Spoiler:
- 12th and crumpled sheetmetal after Appleton
After starting 27th in Race 1 in Appleton, Amy Harrison finished 12th, only after colliding with the 2-Time ARLA Elite Series Champion Kurt Walker in the closing laps of the race. Harrison had teammate Rachael Rainsford on her inside, then Harrison's car drifted up the track into Walker's #98 sending the two into a slide. Walker's car was later hit by Kumangu's #152, Harrison was also hit by the 152, as well as Jeremy West's car.
"So we finished 12th... but at what cost? All I see in front of me (in reference to the car) is a wrecked piece of machinery, not a top-15 finishing car."
Harrison sits 27th in points with 2 races to go: Decatur where Harrison finished 8th in last year's running, and Rockford where Harrison finished a career best 2nd.

- Spoiler:
- Griffin banged up after tough day at Appleton
The day for GLM driver, Ryan Griffin didn't go well at all and after the race Griffin was being looked at by GLM's team trainer. Afterword, Ryan had this to say about the event.
[On the incident involving the #91 car]
"That's short track racing I guess. I mean we were just in the right spot at the wrong time. Don't know what the #91 was doing. I didn't even see him there till he was across my front-end."
[On the last lap incident]
"That was very comfortable to say the least. That hurt." (Griffin was visibly trying to take pressure of his left ankle.) "I heard my spotter say 51 low and at that point I just hit the brakes as hard as a could, but at these speeds these cars don't stop on a dime."
Griffin was asked about his ankle and responded with the following:
"It's bugging me no doubt, but it is just an old injury I had from a short track racing crash about 5 years ago. The hit today just caused it to act up. I'll be ready for Rockford."

- Krikorian Celebrates 1st Career Win, Dream Night for SpeedVision, Plans to Return in 2012 with Herbie Finkleberg
When the dust settled after Race 1 of the Appleton Speedway Fright Night Owner/Driver David Krikorian took the 1st ARLA Elite Series win for the young team while teammate Herbie Finkelberg finished 5th in Race #2. Moments after getting out of the car in victory lane the entire #32 crew along with some of the #96 crew nearly tackled him to the ground during the gatorade shower. Reporters finally got to DK and asked him about the race. "For the most part the car handled great the entire race, as long as we hit the line properly. Its a pretty line sensitive track, you slip up to the high line and you lose all of your momentum. Since we made our first start a few months ago both cars have been fast out of the gate with little to no hiccups, as well as keeping both our noses clean. Reporters asked him with the new model car that ARLA is racing next season what are SpeedVision's plans for 2012? "We will be returning next season with me and Herbie driving. I will stay in a #32 with Joe Tree and Lawn Care sponsorship, while Herbie will finally get to run the family owned Finkelberg Deli that was originally planned to run this season but due to some economic issues we couldn't get that deal done for this season."
Race 2 was much the same for Herbie Finkelberg as he took home a top 5 compleating a dream night for the young SpeedVision Enterprises. Herbie answered question to reporters about DK getting the teams 1st win and his run in race #2 in both english and in hebrew. "I'm really happy to see the boss take the first win for SpeedVision, his family has been in racing for a long time racing the local tracks out in California and DK has always wanted to take the team to the next step and take it to the top and were getting there starting with this maiden win. As for how our can ran tonight, it was really really fast we just didn't end up with the necessary track position when it was all said and done, but i do feel a win for myself isn't too far away."
*As you can tell the hebrew isn't perfect but its the best i can get outta google translate
