- What happened to Fochesato to cause him to exit the race in Sprint #2? Hope not to sound rude; just want to know for post-race purposes.

- Spoiler:
- It says he went out due to a tire failure on lap 22 in my exports. If you want to write it out as a different failure, feel free
- Spoiler:
- Hannah Percy dominant in first victory of 2016 season.
It was an easy ride for Hannah Percy at Mallory Park as she took a dominant victory, leading 55 of the races 75 laps from the pole, after passing Carter Fitzgerald in the closing laps of the event. Percy, who has endured a largely unsuccessful start to her fourth full time season in the series, was 18th in points coming into the final event of the UK Tour, and was unable to lock herself into a position to make a bid for the UK Tour championship, despite her points haul.
"It was a great race for the #56 team today. It's great to have ASDA in victory lane," said Percy, "We had a huge lead at one point... at least five seconds but you had some guys going laps down that had no idea what they were doing. When I was battling Cari, I had to shove whoever was in the #92 literally off the track so I didn't lose touch of getting the lead. That car was in every crash, and was just in the way lap after lap."
"The car was good no matter where I put it, though, so I shouldn't complain too much. I hope the feature is as clean as the last 50 laps of our sprint was!"
Percy qualified for the feature also on the pole, and is looking to replicate her performance from the feature.

- Fochesato Ends UK Tour With Early Mechanical Failure in Sprint 2
9 April 2016
Vincenzo Fochesato entered the DP Enterprises 150 at Mallory Park having not started a Feature race in 2016 season of the Dash Cup Pirelli Super Stocks Series. Following recurring mechanical problems that eventually caused him to drop out of Sprint 2, that wait will have to continue.
The Italian driver had qualified a season-best sixth-place, but within minutes of the start was forced to pit to address an unknown problem with the car. He rejoined the race multiple laps down, and nearly wrecked both Carter Fitzgerald and Hannah Percy under caution shortly afterwards (Percy would go on to win the race, with Fitzgerald finishing in second). His race would not last much longer, as he would pit at the end of lap 22 during the third caution to receive further repairs and never return to the track.
"I'm going to be honest; it's getting really hard not to get frustrated over everything that's gone wrong this year. I think that I have to be honest and not kid myself about that, but I'm going to have to try my best to put it behind me and stay focused on what's important. We're a strong team, and we have fast cars. I am upset at the moment, but I don't have to lose my confidence just because we had a streak of bad races."
Fochesato ends what has been an abysmal UK tour for the #75 team, failing to finish three of the four Sprints, finishing multiple laps behind and with heavy damage in the other, and failing to qualify for all four Features.
The next race for the Pirelli Super Stocks Series will be at Lake Gooi Motorsports Complex in the Netherlands in three week's time.

Re: Round 4 - Mallory Park (Super Stocks)
- Spoiler:
- Clagett Victory Results in Historic UK Tour Comeback
Entering the weekend, anyone would have been insane to have put a bet on Amber Clagett to win the UK Tour, but now anyone who did is looking like the smartest person in the world. As a result of a second and a first place finish in her Sprint and Feature, Amber Clagett managed to overcome a 122 point defecit, more than an entire race win's worth of points, to secure herself the UK Tour, and etch herself into the record book as Dash Cup's first Tour Champion. Clagett took the honour by only 7 points over STS ATK Racing's Matilda Dillinger and 8 points over Altoros GP's Stasya Filipov.
Her car at the end of her feature did not look like a race winning car; rather it looked it would be limping across the line to salvage points. This was after an incident under caution where she was rear-ended by another car. After that, she was involved in accidents with Suzette Dioron and Ashley Flynn, however neither accident was ruled as her own doing.
"This was an adventure, huh?" said Clagett with a smile on her face, emerging from her battered #00 car. "I never would have thought we'd have a chance entering this weekend, but when I'd put the defecit down to 72 points I thought 'Well we've earned back 50 points, what's stopping us from getting 20 on top of that tomorrow?' and the stars seemed to align today and we got it done."
"I have no idea how my crew kept my car running as fast as they did. I put it in the wall in qualifying, and we had to pull out our back-up. After we got hit under caution I thought that was it but we stayed in it and we gave it our all. Just shows what a little bit of determination can do."
"I also need to apologise to Ashley and Suzette. I have no idea what happen with those two, but I felt awful about my involvement in their incidents."
With her victory and UK Tour triumph, Clagett now has a 107 point lead in the overall points, and is the first driver confirmed to be racing in the season finale at the New York Autoring.
Harriet Wallace: Driving Standards Need To Improve
After being taken out by Ryan Matthews twice over the course of the weekend, Harriet Wallace has said that driving standards have to improve in order for the racing to improve for both the drivers and the fans.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pissed off right now. The fans don't enjoy seeing 75 lap races with 10 cautions in them. The only people that like seeing the cars slam the walls and catching fire are the ones other describe as fake. The driving standards need to improve to put on a safer show for the fans and the drivers."
When asked about the incident with Ryan Matthews in the Feature, Wallace seemed to calm down.
"I know he didn't mean it, and I know he'll apologise, because he's a great guy. It wasn't on purpose. It happens."

Re: Round 4 - Mallory Park (Super Stocks)
- Spoiler:
- Rosinski & Torres Take Each Other Out, Delgado Takes Both Their Wallets Out
The less said, the better about the day for Tom Delgado Racing at Mallory Park. Carla Rosinski & Amanda Torres took each other out in a pit lane incident. Reacting almost immediately, team owner Tom Delgado issued an interview ban until next weekend on both drivers, and fined them $10,000 each.
"The incident between the two was not a racing deal. It was a batch of boneheaded mistakes on both ends. Some team bosses may tolerate that stuff, but I sure as hell don't. This will be handled internally. One must be able to lay down strict discipline when it is necessary. We at TDR have nothing more to say on the matter, and will not be speaking of it until next race weekend" Delgado said during the race, obviously fuming at his drivers' lack of awareness.

Re: Round 4 - Mallory Park (Super Stocks)
- Spoiler:
- Amber Clagett penalised days after Mallory Park GP with EOLL penalty; Motoko Given Race Win, Dillinger given UK Tour Title
After a mid-week penalty appeal by STS ATK Racing and Altoros GP, Dash Cup officials have overturned the result of the feature race and have moved Amber Clagett to the end of the longest line as a result of causing two accidents within the final 50 laps of the event. In turn, this has put Sakura Motoko up into the race win, Becky O'Rodagh up into second place and moving Amber Clagett into the third position in the championship. In turn, this has cost Amber Clagett 15 points; enough to make her lose the UK Tour, handing it to Matilda Dillinger by 1 point over Stasya Filipov.
"It sucks for Amber but it's business in racing," said STS ATK Racing co-owner, Kassidy Evans, "She didn't drive fair, we didn't see penalties so we appealed, they looked at it and agreed with us and Altoros. It's not like we held a gun to their heads and forced them to make a decision. We put the appeal in hoping for this result and we got it."
"This sport has turned into a disgrace," said Quinton Young, owner of Team Kwik Fit, "Never in my years as an owner in the series have I seen such a disgusting decision made. That 28 car has been one of the favourites since day one and the officials didn't want to upset the casual, stupid fanbase. It's wrong. Absolutely wrong."
Matilda Dillinger now holds a 101 point lead over Stasya Filipov, who inherited second in points as a result of the penalty.

Re: Round 4 - Mallory Park (Super Stocks)
- Spoiler:
- Franco Giovanardi cracks top 10 for FIAM strongest outing so far
FIAM's ex-EuroV8 Cup front runner, Franco Giovanardi, secured a 7th place in the feature race after securing a top 20 and therefore a ticket to the feature race in the attrition filled second sprint race.
The Italian came back from an early incident which dropped him down the order to secure a wealthy points haul following a lacklustre first 3 rounds.
"Surely this will be the turn, the new FIAM it is set to be ready soon and therefore we can begin to recapture the pace of the previous years," said the Italian, "It has been difficult, with FIAM we are used to much different vehicle characteristics. It's a learning year, but surely we are confident to move forward."
Mireille Allain had joined Giovanardi in the last rounds feature race, the French women securing a 13th in her sprint and the Italian in 8th before both fell down the order with ensuing problems, but failed to make the Feature at Mallory Park, joined by team mate and lead driver Vincenzo Fochesato who continues a spell of bad results after a stellar first season.
Fochesato, a revelation in the 2015 season, is working hard to return to his former strength telling reporters "I am upset at the moment, but I don't have to lose my confidence just because we had a streak of bad races."
With rumours of FIAM's new Dash Cup chassis set to be ready for the early rounds of the European tour, Giovanardi's strong result could be the impetus to propel the long time touring car specialist manufacturer back towards the front of the grid.
