2016 Hungarian GP
The European tour continues as F1 heads to Hungary for Round 11. This will be the 3rd race in July and comes after the second test of the season, this time at Silverstone. Sauber is the only team not at the test. Here are the headlines entering a hungry Hungary...Leckliter would be proud of that.
Radio Ga Ga
Late in the race in Silverstone, a rather interesting radio conversation happened between Nico Rosberg and Mercedes. Rosberg reported he had lost 7th gear and needed help to get the gear back. Radio communication like this was limited for 2016 and Nico payed for it. Rosberg was handed a 10 second time penalty that demoted him to 3rd. Mercedes will not repeal the penalty.
Williams Switching Drivers?
Over the week leading to the race, a report came out on the F1 news page was that Williams are "keeping their options open for 2017." With the limited seat availability for 2017, Williams could be the seat up for grabs. This may be just a way to say that Felipe Massa is going but I am not willing to put my money on it.
Can Red Bull Steal a Win?
Over the next few races, the tracks are suited for Red Bull to claim another victory. Max Verstappen has shown that he is not afraid of Mercedes as he went toe to toe with Mercedes and came out just short. This will be a major rallying cry for Red Bull that could lead to a win or wins for the team.

Re: 2016 Hungarian GP
Sensible thing for Williams would be to let Massa go, and replace him with somebody who can push Bottas. The best option for that would probably be Button at this stage, but the question is, is it worth leaving McLaren for Williams now? McLaren have improved a lot already this year, and Williams are in increasing danger of losing 4th to Force India. And in that case, they might be forced to keep Massa.
I still have no idea why they signed him to a three year contract in the first place, it's really narrowed their options in the last couple years, at a time when they could've grabbed a driver like Grosjean.

I've been not feeling F1 lately but this has been usually a race of the year contender for what the past 3 years?

The last 2, at least. On paper it should be a Hamilton walkover, but Mercedes have got it spectacularly wrong the past two years. Anyone's guess whether or not that'll continue this year.

A wild qualifying session which featured FOUR red flags in Q1 puts Rosberg over Hamilton for the pole. Massa, Haryanto, and Ericsson all crashed.

I should also point out that 16th on back failed to make a laptime faster than the 107% time including Palmer, Massa, Magnussen, Ericsson, Wehrlein and Haryanto.PRAWBLEMS wrote:A wild qualifying session which featured FOUR red flags in Q1 puts Rosberg over Hamilton for the pole. Damn. Massa is a big name, and poor Joylon Palmer had just been 10th in P3.Rovenami wrote:I should also point out that 16th on back failed to make a laptime faster than the 107% time including Palmer, Massa, Magnussen, Ericsson, Wehrlein and Haryanto.PRAWBLEMS wrote:A wild qualifying session which featured FOUR red flags in Q1 puts Rosberg over Hamilton for the pole. They could still get in the race but they would have to get approval from the stewards.

Re: 2016 Hungarian GP
I'm fairly certain they'll most likely be approved due to the circumstances.The_Wall_91 wrote:PRAWBLEMS wrote:Damn. That penalty for Button sums Formula One up perfectly. Rigorous enforcement of vague and unclear regulation.

Just judging by the results, it seems like this race sucked.
