Gary Brabham convicted of Child Rape

The son of 1966 F1 champion Jack Brabham, and 1989 British F3 champion will be in court for sentencing on April 15th after being convicted of raping an under-age girl in separate incidents between 2003 and 2007. I can certainly bet that Sir Jack will be rolling in his grave.

What a sick, sick individual. If Australian prisons are anything like American ones, he's in for a rude awakening.

Oh yep. The Crips and Bloods would unite against him...

I think what struck me the most (and maybe this is a sign I'm getting older) is that the first news that broke about this at all was that he was convicted, instead of being accused or being tried. That's (oddly) refreshing, because at least we now know that any derision we have for him is now justified.

Might just be the difference between America and Australia (and parts of Europe, too), though...
