NASCAR at Las Vegas

Post by bigdc48 on Fri Mar 04, 2016 6:21 pm

NASCAR begins their 3-race west coast swing at sin city, aka Las Vegas.

Kevin Harvick won last year's Cup event. Although he finished 2nd to Jimmie Johnson last week at Atlanta, which was Johnson's 76th Cup win, tying the late-Dale Earnhardt's win mark.

Austin Dillon won last year's Xfinity race in thrilling fashion to hold off Ryan Blaney.

Damn you Harvick, why didn't you let Chris Beuscher get to round 2 of qualifying

Big hit for Cody Ware, Bubba Wallace pulls an ARCA like maneuver, and tough break for Justin Marks.

Bubba had nowhere to go and the caution wasn't out for some reason. Barely an "ARCA like maneuver"...

Bubba's spotter, allegedly, didn't say anything about the spin. There are plenty of warning signs that a crash happens, examples, skid marks, smoke, everybody moving on to the apron. Bubba has plenty of experience to know if something happened ahead.

Suarez and Erik Jones are the only regulars right now with even a slight chance of winning a race.

I wonder how much the local PD would make if they gave tickets for all the speeding penalties today.

Dat restart from Kyle Busch. That's the best one I've seen - that I can remember, at least.

This season hasn't been the best season ever, but SO MUCH BETTER than 2015. Good race, could care less about the winner.

NASCAR is like that old ex-girlfriend that just won't go away. It's like "You didn't want to do anything when we were together, and now that we're not together anymore, NOW you wanna do shit."

You should probably watch again, honestly. I know that last season was godawful but so far this season looks very promising!

I gave NASCAR a chance to get better, and they blew it when my patience finally ran out on it. Hell, I couldn't even get excited for the 500 this year, and I ALWAYS get excited for that race, which goes to show you my interest level in NASCAR right now. Sorry, but until they decide to get rid of the Chase entirely, my interest will be focused elsewhere, like IndyCar, which begins next Sunday by the way (HYEP!!!).

And since it doesn't look like they're getting rid of the Chase anytime soon, then I won't be watching anytime soon, regardless of how good it may be, because at the end of the day, a lot of the races in the long run still won't mean jack shit. Not to mention all the BS decisions they've made the past couple years and recently, like this one, for instance.

I totally get where Packer's coming from, Even though i'm still watching i feel it really hard to be excited anymore. The races so far feel like they're repairing the damage that did 2015 did at least.
