NASCAR at Texas

Post by bigdc48 on Fri Nov 06, 2015 10:20 pm

After the fiasco that was Martinsville, with Matt Kenseth taking out Joey Logano and getting himself suspended for two races, and rightfully so, and Jeff Gordon winning and said 'WE'RE GOING TO HOMESTEAD!!!', lets hope for less drama, more racing at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway, which by the way last year here, Gordon and Keselowski tussled on pit road after contact.

Sprint Cup is Sunday, Xfinity on Saturday and Trucks are on right now.

Brad Keselowski will start on pole for Sunday's Cup race.

Truck race was just a chill quiet race...after a wild few weeks for Nascar i can easily accept that type of race.

Agreeing with Alta; the Truck race wasn't uninteresting, just quiet. I wonder if Suárez could have caught the #4 with another 5 or 10 laps, but it's nice to see Jones score another win!

And that's it - Logano is out of the Chase. No way anyone but Harvick is winning next week.

That was actually a pretty good finish!

Jimmie plays spoiler there for Keselowski but a hell of a move to take the win!

Keselowski gave it his all, but Johnson got it done. So Phoenix should be interesting.

Alright race. Jimmie and Kez had a fun battle at the end.

Sadly i think that locks it up for Mr. "I looked to my right and couldn't see the car next to me."

6 wins, 26 top 10's, and if Logano doesn't win, he cannot compete for the championship at Homestead.

23 races participated in, and as long as Kyle Busch gets a reasonable finish, he races for the championship at Homestead.

But oh yeah, the Chase set up now is perfect... right... but I guess some will be fine with it now because Logano could very well be eliminated, and he "deserves it", right?!?

Hit the nail on the head, this proves why the system is broken....A driver who's been on top all year will likely not get a chance to go for the title while a driver who's first race was the Coke 600 is gonna have a run for the title barring a retirement.

Now looking at the bastard child known as classic points, Harvick and Logano would be in a spar for the title (Logano getting killed by the Martinsville revenge) while Kyle Busch would've cracked the top 20 in points (Which would be pretty impressive considering he missed 12 races). Could be a cool scenario instead of wanting to see Logano fail because he's pissed off the wrong guy and not caring for Busch's title run since it was kind of handed to him in some ways.
