Fochesato Happy With Italian GP Results: Scores Three Top-20 Finishes
10 May 2015

The first Dash Cup Pirelli Super Touring Series Italian GP to be held at the Illebianchi Circuit produced a very exciting trio of races, and also saw the first time that the 22-year-old Italian driver Vincenzo Fochesato ever started an auto race on home soil.

The driver of the #75 FIAM CinqueTC had average runs in all three races, but was fast enough to score points in each of them with 15th, 16th, and 17th-place finishes in races 1, 2, and 3, respectively. He was the highest-finishing Italian in each of the the first two races, but was outfinished by Marco Moretti in race 3 when Moretti scored a 4th-place finish.

Fochesato was reportedly very upbeat upon exiting his car, and expressed his appreciation to FIAM Engineering, the fans, and his family members who were able to attend the race in person during his post-race interviews.

"The support of them means the world to me, both my family and team members" said the rookie during part of his interview. "I couldn't ask for more from anyone on this team. It's a privilege to drive the cars that FIAM Engineering build for me, and it's a lot of fun, too!"

The next race for the Dash Cup Pirelli Super Touring Series will be at the Circuit Thierry Sicotte, the current TM Master Cup Series circuit in France.
