Ha! nobody is going to pay top dollar to see Cup Light stumble around a track it's completely incompatible with. at least nobody with any intelligence. the cup series could pull it off, but nwide can barely keep the races they've got, let alone add one at a brand new facility that desperately needs to pay for itself

Re: Nationwide Series at Circuit of the Americas?
I completely disagree with the post above. More road courses for NASCAR is a good thing, and I think going to this new track would be a good idea. If the Nationwide cars can go to Montreal, Watkins Glen and Road America and have the best races of the year, then I really don't see why this track is any different. People will go pay to see this race since it, more than likely, would be a pretty good race. Also, if Brian France wants the Nationwide series to go there, then the race will have more then enough funding.

I do. NASCAR needs more road courses, and if this replaces Montreal, I won't object.

Circuit Of the America's would be a disaster. Too many tight corners. It was designed for lighter cars than Nascar. I want more road courses, but not there. Good news about Montreal though.

I love road courses, but this, no. We've never even seen a race at this place infact it isn't even done construction and how many series are lining up for races here!?
Re: Nationwide Series at Circuit of the Americas?
I'm still 50/50 with this decision. I say Trucks make a return to Sonoma and Heartland Park. They're all ready having rumors of going to Watkins Glen and I think Road America, too.
Re: Nationwide Series at Circuit of the Americas?
I'm indifferent on this. While road courses are great to watch and a nice change from the norm, I don't see why we need more.
What has gotten NASCAR a lot of sh*t has been people complaining about the newer 1.5 tracks granted this is a road course so it would be different, but I just know if NASCAR does go and end up running there. Somebody will find something to complain about. As NASCAR has declined, the positive side of its fans has too.
But, overall, I'm not against it if they decided to do it, but if they don't go I wouldn't care.

More road courses? Yes. At a track like this? No.

I don't think it would be horrible but it wouldn't be as fantastic as Montreal though. They need to think about road courses that would actually suit the cars best.

Yall might say "this circuit might not be suited for Stock Cars", but I still say give it a shot anyway. You never know what might happen. Maybe it might be good for Stock Cars. You will never know if you don't give it a shot.

I honestly think this isn't a bad choice. I'd LOVE to see the Cup Series possibly run this track.
Also, I do agree with Chives. Trucks back at Heartland Park and Sonoma would be beast.

Re: Nationwide Series at Circuit of the Americas?
I'm starting to grow on this idea. I mean, we had no idea how Road America or Montreal would do, and people kept saying that stock cars couldn't race on tracks like that. If the race doesn't go to well, oh well, at least we tried it, right?
Re: Nationwide Series at Circuit of the Americas?
It's not the track that I think is incompatible, it's the facilities. It's designed as a European style Formula 1 track, meaning concrete garages leading right onto a narrow pit road. those guys have enough trouble trying to get out of the pits around each other, and they have half the cars on track and pit a few at a time. 43 hopeless nobodies trying to cram in under caution sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
actually, i shouldn't say 43 cause half the field is cup drivers. 22 hopeless nobodies getting in the way of each other and the 21 who know what they're doing

Yeah, cause there's absolutely no good drivers in Nationwide.
Also, to say that there's 21 Cuppies is a little exaggerated. Most of the time there's 5-10.
Average Nationwide Field
5-10 Cuppies
2-4 Drivers Fighting for the Championship
10-12 Start and Parks
5-7 Other Drivers Fighting for the Win
12-19 Field Fillers
