Firestone 600 - IndyCar Series
As we reach the halfway points already into the 2015 season, after an interesting doubleheader weekend at Detroit, IndyCar heads down south for a Saturday night showdown at Texas Motor Sppedway. Ed Carpenter beat out the Penske duo of Power and Montoya last year. I hopeful for a good race, but we'll see.

Will Power started on pole and Scott Dixon won the race by a lot. The race was shit and it only had 1 caution. A 2.0/10. On to Toronto.
So much for my 700th post.

I forgot this race was even on, but then again, it's Texas, so I wasn't expecting much anyways.

Considering it was Texas, it wasn't too bad. We had some good side-by-side action, like Dixon and TK, and Kimball and Briscoe.

Re: Firestone 600 - IndyCar Series
I distinctly remember reading "7 laps to go" on my TV while trying to watch the race late at night on Sunday, but the next thing that I remember is waking up; it turns out that I couldn't quite make it!
After having watched it the next day while fully awake, I thought that the race was all right. Agreeing with Retrograde, I enjoyed watching the various on-track battles, especially between Briscoe and Kimball. It's too bad that there wasn't a closer race for the win.

Re: Firestone 600 - IndyCar Series
Just watched the race on YouTube, so here's my thoughts:
I'm sorry, because I know that the two guys above me thought it was an alright race, but I'm gonna have to agree with bigdc48 on this one. Yes, there were some nice side-by-side battles with Kanaan and Dixon, and then with Briscoe and Kimball, and the start of the race was interesting for about the first ten laps, but those don't make up for the fact that 85% of this race was insanely boring, especially the last 75 laps. Dixon won by a whopping NINE SECONDS over Kanaan, which is an eternity in auto racing. I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep in my chair watching this crapfest of a race. :/
The 2015 Firestone 600 @ Texas gets a 1.5/10. Entertainment-wise, this was easily one of the worst races of the season. But then again, Texas Motor Speedway sucks ass, so it's to be expected. Hopefully, Toronto next week will be much better.

I didn't think the race was too bad, but it wasn't anything spectacular. Dixon owned that race near the end.
