D&S Automotive Leaving Dash Cup?
Reports in the German media have indicated that D&S Automotive, one of Dash Cup's newest teams, may not compete full-time in 2015, or appear on the grid at all. If they depart, team owners and drivers Thomas Dietrich and Peter van den Schmidt are rumored to move their operations to TM Europe or TM Lights. A team representative declined comment.

Triple Crown to Run More Races?
Former Formula C Euro and TM Lights team Triple Crown Enterprises will reportedly run a handful of Dash Cup races next season. The rumored candidate for the ride is Kosta Theodorakos, who drove for the team in TM Lights and currently drives for D&S Automotive, who are rumored to be leaving the series. Also believed to be in contention for the seat is former race winner Jennifer Goodwin, who will attempt the Spa GP with the team.

Sakura Motoko set to be dropped by FIAM?
Japanese driver Sakura Motoko is rumoured to be leaving the FIAM team in 2015 after a less than impressive start to the 2014 season. Despite FIAM insisting that they will continue to support Motoko until the end of the season, it is likely that she will be dropped in favour of either either Italian Vincenzo Fochesato who has served for FIAM in the TM Master Cup and is set to make his Dash Cup debut in Spa later this year or American David Savoldelli who will also debut at Spa later this year alongside a strong rookie season in the National Racing Championship.

Team rules to be eased; teams allowed up to four cars now

After experimenting with the teams having two full time cars then a third part time driver, Ryan Truro, CEO of Dash Cup, has announced that the rules will be eased up to bring back single car teams and allow the bigger teams to have up to four cars, with as many as the team wants full or part time, if accepted by the officials.

It is rumoured that with this rule, it allows the bigger teams to open up more. STS Racing, Inc and Atlantic Motorsports are looking to expand to four full time cars, and Team Kwik Fit are looking into having four cars as well, but not all full time.

Truro's warning to teams; "Schedule will be most courageous yet"

Ryan Truro has warned teams that the schedule for the 2015 Dash Cup season will be "the most courageous yet", with the season opener being rumoured to be a course in Dubai. Tours in Australia, Japan and America have also been rumoured, with Truro saying that as little as half the races may be in Europe; but the schedule could be as big as 20 races. With the new touring style cars also coming to the series, this could leave less room for ovals on the schedule, if there is any space on the schedule for them at all. Truro also stated that teams should not try to sell on their old Dash Cup cars, as there may be a use for them next year as well.

Sakura Motoko to be acquired by Lycoia International Motorsport Enterprises?

The newly developed and dedicated International team based in Edinburgh, Scotland for Lycoia has stated that they will be attempting to acquire Sakura Motoko from FIAM in order for her to develop more in the Dash Cup. "Look, Motoko's a good driver but she's had a bout of bad luck." Team Manager, Jacob Reilly told reporters. "We're also looking to acquire Michelle Dubout, she hasn't had the fortune of finding a ride yet." When asked about series regular, Ashley Ambercroft, "We looked at her but she's unavailable due to TM Master Cup commitments. We may have her in special events though."

FIAM 2015 plans develop

Vincenzo Fochesato and Giuseppe Marchetti have reportedly been confirmed as two of FIAM's 3 full time drivers for the 2015 season at FIAM Engineering while plans for a 3rd full time car have also been announced.

The 2013 National Racing Championship champion, Marchetti, will return following a positive first year with the Italian squad which included a win in race 3 at Mallory Park despite reported claims from anonymous sources within the team that he is "impossible to work with". Marchetti has proven to be a colourful character and his personality has seemingly not been received with much warmth following several reports in the Italian press that team members refuse to work with him.

Fochesato, meanwhile, is set to start his first season as a full time FIAM driver following a 2013 season driving an Omecha for FIAM in the special TM Master Cup events and an entrance into the 2014 Spa Grand Prix with the works FIAM team. He replaces Sakura Motoko who is seemingly on her way out of the team to Lycoia.

A third car is also set to be planned to be entered for 2015 following the recent announcement that teams may run more than 2 full time cars for next season. The seat will seemingly go to one of the top 3 finishers in the European Late Model Challenge who will be rewarded with a test in the 2014 FIAM Cinque. It is reported that French-woman Mireille Allain is in the lead to secure the seat.

Giséle Vignon and Stasya Filipov heading full-time in 2015

The two Hannagan Enterprises drivers in 2014, the french Giséle Vignon and the russian Stasya Filipov might be going full-time in 2015 after haking the headlines posting incredible upsets during he course of 2014. Vignon might be doing a partial schedule in FARC for Euro-American Racing in addition to her Dash Cup commitments and Stasya Filipov could stay with Patrick O'Hannagan's underfunded and underpowered team for 2015.

McMillan Planning Return to Dash Cup?

After being left without a ride for the 2014 season, it seems that Christian McMillan is plotting a return to the full-time grid for the 2015 Dash Cup season. McMillan formerly drove for Ike Durbin's team before the team shut down due to lack of funding and resources, which included a win at the Toddring in 2013.

McMillan has been running for his own team in the European Late Model Challenge, in which he has dominated the season, winning the first five rounds. McMillan has been linked to FIAM, through their ELMC test rides, however he reportedly is not the leading candidate for the ride.

Voeckler lining up two car effort in 2015?

Following months of rumours regarding Voeckler GPE making its first major foray into stock car racing, reports are emerging from their technical base in Paris that the squad is on the verge of submitting a formal entry to the Dash Cup series for next year.

A number of drivers have been linked to the Voeckler project, primarily IBR youth product Antonio Delvecchio, currently competing in trucks. However, there have also been rumours of the French squad aiming to poach Belgian driver Thomas de Bock away from fellow French team Simonet Sport, who is said to be admired by team CEO Jeremy-Etienne Voeckler. Also in the frame according to Autosport is Jack Christopherson Jr, son of ex-Formula A racer and Indy 500 champion Jack Christopherson, and Bild seems assured of Jan Mayländer landing a seat, although L'Equipe suspects the latter is nothing more than a hopeful agent peddling over-optimisic rumours to drum up interest in the hapless German's services.

Given the team's existing relationship with the British-based manufacturer, it looks very likely that the new Voeckler team would run the brand new Lycoia Infiltrator next season, or the Lycoia Interceptor should the new model not be ready in time for 2015.

Autosport France looking to enter series, Truck Series Powerhouse with French drivers only?

The APRS team, is looking to expand into Dash Cup. The team is looking for french drivers mostly because they really can't speak English so well. Pascal Vallee is likely entering the series with backing from AXA Insurance.

Gallardo to leave Spectre Racing, Starting team in trucks?

Spanish driver Mauricio Gallardo, after a part-time effort in 2014 with Spectre Racing, is looking to enter the Dash Cup Pickup Truck Series with his own team, Gallardo Autosport. Gallardo will likely be the only driver in the team, and has applied for the number 90.

Peregrine Returning?

After making a comeback at Spa Francorchamps, Peregrine Autosport officials are keen on launching a full time comeback for 2016. Ernst Mossbruger and Pascal Manzon, who compete full time for Gerlach AG in German Supercars may be the drivers, but team officials are awaiting the final schedule to be released to ensure there are not conflicts with the German Supercars series. It is also believed than Manfred Honecker, who recently inked an associate sponsor deal with an unnamed wall building contractor that completed his sponsorship package is also in the frame for a ride. The team plans on fielding two cars and possibly a third on a part time basis.

American Performance Parts Company to start Dash Cup program; seeking driver to run part-time in 2015

Auto parts manufacturing and supply company, HP Engineparts, is very familiar with auto-racing. The company has sponsored cars in the TMMCS, TM Lights Series, and in the FARC Elite Series. But, the company is now ready to mark a new chapter: entering the overseas market.

Jason Hatcher, CEO, and whose grandfather founded the company as a aftermarket parts supplier in 1943, stated that the company is putting together the funds and people in place to enter Dash Cup competition in 2015. Hatcher also stated that the team would be a part-time team to start out with and try to focus more getting exposure.

Hatcher, when asked about the driver search for the entry, stated that the team is actively seeking a driver. They are looking with someone that has Dash Cup experience, but would be welcome to a young driver with road racing experience.

The time is currently going under the name HP-Euro.

This is an OOC post to basically explain how things will be run for Dash Cup.

So, with the introduction of another two series, things will be run kind of how FARC is run. I'll run all the races for all three series, but I will be looking for people to do reviews for the Oval Stock and Pickup Truck series! I'll do the Touring Stock series reviews, and I'll probably do the reviews for the Toddring and Eurospeedway Truck/Oval races (oh come on, you KNOW what I'm going to do for the Oktoberfest weekend! Razz) but send me a PM if you're interested!

Also, if you see a TBA, that's still probably an open ride. There's the Proline cars that are definitely still looking for drivers, and Snelwissel will be returning but I'm not sure in what capacity, so get writing those rumours! Razz

Tiefenbach Racing Joining Dash Cup?

The German motorsports team Tiefenbach Racing has recently expressed interest in competing in one of Dash Cup's two new touring series for the upcoming 2015 season.

The Nuremburg-based team is currently fielding a part-time entry in the European Late Model Challenge, but in a statement that was released on the Tiefenbach website, the team said that organization is in progress to form an effort for the new Dash Cup Stock Oval Series. The team currently lacks sponsors, but with the large amount of current Dash Cup cars that will soon be up for sale, it is expected that the OSS should be much more cost-effective to compete in than the Super Touring Series.

The team's current driver Christopher Mertin, in addition to his few ELMC races, is also currently competing in some German touring car races, and it is expected that he will move to the DCOSS with the team. Born and raised in the US state of Virginia to German parents, the 24-year-old Mertin has had experience driving race cars on some intermediate ovals in the United States and, of course, in his ELMC starts. The American, for the time being, is hoping to remain living in Nuremburg, where he has lived since 2013.

SuzukaCorp. to Make Return to Dash Cup in 2015?

I don't know, maybe.

McMillan Autosport's 2015 Plans on Hold

Christian McMillan Autosport had been preparing to make a full-time bid for the 2015 Dash Cup season, until all three of their cars got #rekt in Spa GP heat races and the LCQ. Their plans are now on hold as the team is looking to find the funds to replace the #rekt cars. McMillan himself still plans on searching for a full-time Dash Cup ride in 2015.

Carlos Cardona looking to land TM Lights or Dashcup Seat

Carlos Cardona, Spanish F3 2014 world Champion is now determined to land a seat at either Dashcup or TM lights.

Cardona, who won the championship on the last race for F3 is now expecting to move up to the big stage in Stock Car Racing in hoping to continue achieving success.

Cardona's manager, Jose, said in a spanish interview that Cardona is becoming a key factor of bringing more Spanish drivers and also mentioned that Cardona potential success will bring in more investments to Spain with a possibility of bringing in more Spanish sponsors as well as expanding into a racing team.

Cardona also mentioned that an unusual move to Stock Car Racing is the only potential chance to get a drive and also said that he is (at some point) getting tired of racing Open-wheel cars.

"I understand for some people that a possibility of me moving to Stock cars is a very odd decision to make. But still, this is what i've decided planning to do."

Recently, there was rumours that Cardona will promote to a seat at TM lights with Roderick Motorsports but was later denied by Cardona's manager.

Trueba lines up truck ride for protégé Delvecchio
2015 Silly Season Delvecchio
Antonio Delvecchio racing in the Rejectrucks SuperSeries

Italian racer Antonio Delvecchio will aim to continue his truck racing career, stepping into the Dash Cup Pickup Truck Series with a new team run by TM Lights driver Giovanni Roda and his Trueba Racing Team organisation.

The Italian team and driver are backed by Italian coffee maker Lavezzi and RayBan, who both also feature on Roda's Matthew Motorsports' TML car.

"It is a natural progression from what I've already done up to now," said Delvecchio. "We don't have a truck on the lot yet, but we have all the finances in place and the factory space, it's just a case of picking a manufacturer and we're ready to go."

The new team intends to register the #22 car for Delvecchio, as was his number elsewhere, but according to team principal Roda, the young Italian may not be the only driver making the grid next season.

"We will try to have two cars on the grid," stated Roda. "We already have the money to purchase and run a second truck full-time, the real question mark is if we get given the entry at all. We are very closely aligned with Voeckler GPE, and they have had all their particulars in order, only to be knocked back time and time again by the organisers of multiple series. They are Formula A champions that can't even get a feeder series stock car entry. It's a little bit crazy, but hopefully we won't have these problems."

Roda admitted there were a number of options for Delvecchio's team-mate should they run a second car.

"The #23 has a couple of candidates - we'll talk to them and see if their schedules work out, as most of them have commitments elsewhere they need to work around. But we're hoping to bring in [Jayleen] Mori, who did well last season."

OOC: Don't know what truck to take, no idea what cars are available for this series. Does FIAM have anything eligible? Or Lycoia?

Supertouring will be using the Hornets mod, basically the Rally mod without wings Razz

And yeah, FIAM and Kanako can both have truck models if you want

Carlos Cardona interested in racing for Hannagan Enterprises in Pickup truck Series

Carlos Cardona, the Spanish F3 Champion, is currently still searching for a seat at either TM Lights or DashCup despite the recent signing of the Peak-Williamson racing TM Lights Team. But Cardona has been warned that due to the Team's late entry, the team may not get a spot in Tm Lights unless a team gets taken over or Cardona gets referred to a different team, which would leave Cardona without a drive.

Cardona, 18, has now signed an interest into racing with Hannagan Enterprises in the Pickup Truck Series Car No.50. This was followed by the recent signing of another Spaniard Mauricio Gallardo, who will be racing in the same team, driving with the same number but in the Oval Stock Series.

Cardona's long term sponsor Repsol could mean that Hannagan Enterprises could be racing with 2 Repsol cars in 2 different series if Cardona were to sign for the team but this depends on whether the team would be interested in bringing more Spanish Money into the team.

Cardona has a few other opportunities looked at if he fails to get a drive, including a possible Test driver role for Formula A.

Trueba confirms driver of #23, manufacturer signed on

Trueba Racing Team today announced it has finalised its plans for the upcoming 2015 Dash Cup Pickup Truck series, with the Italian squad confirming itself as the first customer for FIAM's new truck model, along with signing a second driver for its #23 machine, young Tahitian driver Manuarii Vahirua.

"We're excited by this new venture with FIAM," said team principal Giovanni Roda. "It was a reasonably straightforward choice for us. We hope our geographic closeness will be reflected in a strong working relationship going forward between the two parties. It will be an interesting debut season for the new FIAM truck as well as ourselves."

Meanwhile, Roda was keen to avert any pre-season pressure being lumped on new signing Vahirua, who steps up from NZ V8 Utes, and brings backing to his #23 truck from Tahiti Tourisme.

"Manu is a young lad with lots of potential, but he'll need a little time to bed into his new environment. This will be a learning year for him, he'll feed off the experience Tonio [Delvecchio] has from his previous years driving trucks and improve step by step."

Peak Williamson Race Tech concerned

Peak Williamson Race Tech, the new outfit who have attempted to enter TM Lights - as well as FARC and the Dash Cup - have become increasingly concerned at the lack of communication from series officials as to whether or not PWRT have gained entry into any of the series. This is a major issue for PWRT as their contract with Spaniard Carlos Cardona was for a TM Lights seat and the talented young driver will walk from the deal if it is not fulfilled. PWRT have sent Cardona's info and the livery for the #27 Repsol Lenard to TM Lights management and say that they have yet to hear from them as to whether the entry has been confirmed. It is possible that PWRT could buy their way into the series by taking over an existing team, but co-owner and team principal Rex Williamson stated that they prefer to enter a completely new team if possible.

Officials deny Peak Williamson Race Tech entry into series

Dash Cup officials have responded to the PWRT entry by saying that they will not make the grid in the 2015 season, advising the team to focus on their other respective efforts. CEO Ryan Truro put some input into the situation, by saying that many teams have faltered in their efforts to run FARC and Dash Cup in the same season, and while is was previously possible for drivers to do part-time in one series and full-time in the other, Truro said that PWRT's visions as a race team were "infeasible" and "unrealistic."

Drivers such as Akira Tsukari, Hannah Percy and Ben Atkins have run FARC and Dash Cup races in the same season in the past, the former two being more successful, with both winning in the Ring of Fire tour, and Percy winning in both series in the 2013 season. Tsukari has accomplished this in the not-yet-finished 2014 season.

However, while the drivers have some success stories, the teams who tried the same do not. Eichholtz Atlantic Racing attempted this in 2013, and despite winning in the Dash Cup series 4 times in 2013, including a 1-2 in the Spa GP, none of their drivers were in serious title contention, and their then-ARLA campaign was considered a failure, with them having to resort to start and parking in the race at Texas Motor Speedway. Despite this, their driver, Lucy Barnton, did finish 2nd in a close finish at Mosport. The team split entering 2014 season, and Atlantic are doing considerably better this season, with their drivers currently 1-2 in the points entering Spa, and the team accumulating 3 wins in the first half of the season.

Tom Delgado Racing Plotting Potential Dash Cup Return?

With Dash Cup splitting into three divisions, there are now rumors floating about that Tom Delgado Racing might be looking to return for the USA-based Super Touring events.

"It is definitely something we are looking into" Tom Delgado said of the rumors. "We never rule anything out, and with our FARC success over the past few years, it is definitely possible to have a part-time operation. Nothing is finalized at all, but I have always been a huge fan of Dash Cup racing, and it has always been my intention to remain in the series in some form, and with three races planned for the United States in 2015, there is a great opportunity for us" Delgado added.

It is believed that TDR would look to field one car for the events at Road America & Decatur, whilst fielding a second car to be driven by Tom Delgado himself on the Streets of New York. Sponsorship is unknown at this time, but there are other rumors that TDR have opened preliminary negotiations with the Miller Brewing Company, who previously sponsored Ocean Motorsports' #37 entries in the TM Master Cup Series & ASCC.

Tom Delgado Racing is now fully based out of Miami, Florida, after having a Spring & Summer headquarters in Brooklyn, New York for several years.
