- Video of the Nurburgring wreck. Video is Graphic:
Very scary to see that happen. Looked similar to the Mark Webber flip at Valencia a few years ago.
Thoughts go out to all involved.

Fantastic. One freak accident, and they're gone. Can't wait until every racecourse in the world is just five square miles of flat, featureless asphalt with painted lines for a track.

Well if its until they found out why the car decided to fly like that, I'm fine with that.
A better idea though would be to ban people being in fairly unprotected areas, since if I am correct, people can move around pretty easily anywhere on the course.

Update on the 2nd story. The driver of the car was 13 years old, which most likely means it was in Junior Seadns (the category I started my career in). The category is usually for 14-17 year olds, but are some tracks, they allow 10-13 y.o., but with an adult passenger.

GT3 ban in VLN is only a temporary measure

Wow. Watching that, I wouldn't argue against re-profiling that hump, especially considering it's right before a corner, not unless many car types have not had trouble with that hump, and something with the car made it do such a thing

I don't think the hill is the problem, he just carried too much speed over it. I think the best solution would either be to flatten out that incline between the barrier and the fence (so the car isn't given leverage to "boost" over into the crowd) or move the fence closer to the barrier (the car would have been stopped by the fence had it not had a chance to bounce off the ground like it did).

Little bump on the Nurburgring crash. The ban imposed on the GT3 cars has been diminished, but now they're introducing speed limits for those cars at the track? Seriously?

But according to the article, it's just in the interm, so again, I am fine with that as long as they can find an acceptable solution within a reasonable amount of time

Hopefully they revoke the speed limit. Hate to see good racing ruined just because of one freak accident. At
