This is more of a general question for the painters on here. Where do you get your ideas?

I try to mix it up when I'm painting a car, because specifically with my Sprite cars, I find that after you've run it for so long you kind of get sick of looking at it. That said, unless I have something I really like, most of my ideas are shamelessly stolen from based on other people's schemes, or else the graphic design used by the given sponsor.
