NASCAR Cup & Trucks at Martinsville

Post by BBoy on Wed Oct 22, 2014 1:43 am

8 drivers left. 4 will remain. The first of the 3 Eliminator races begins with the shortest track on the schedule, the Martinsville Speedway!

Notes for the Goody's Headache Powder Shot 500:

- The #83 and #93 BK Racing cars remain TBA for drivers.

- Kyle Fowler will be making his Sprint Cup Series debut in the #32.

- The XXXtreme Motorsports #44 returns to action this weekend with Timmy Hill driving.

The Camping World Truck Series championship closed up a bit last weekend, but low patience and high tempers are commonplace at Martinsville, which could alter the championship at any given moment.

Notes for the Kroger 200:

- We have FIVE debuts this weekend: Matt Tifft, Camden Murphy, Wendell Chavous, Charles Buchanan Jr., and Austin Hill

- Brandon Jones will be driving the #33 for GMS Racing.

- Matt Crafton currently holds a 19 point lead in the standings over 2nd place Ryan Blaney.

If Crafton comes out with a big lead then it's for sure game over,

Something tells me Harvick will be the first to lock himself into the final 4.

That was a fun race.

Bubba wins in the tribute car...Good story out of that.

Despite being a ambitious as all hell move, i can't fault Quiroga for trying it...Almost worked

Crafton still has a stranglehold on points...I think this might game set match.

Freaking awesome race. I imagine it was as exciting if not more exciting to watch this race than to listen to it. Goes without saying that Trucks has had the best racing all season, and the lack of Cuppies and all the newcomers in today's field certainly helped make for a good Martinsville race.

Good win, Darrell Wallace. Wendell Scott would be proud. Wink

This.

Even for Martinsville, this race has been a wreck fest.

Very exciting race all the way through, with a couple surprises, most notably David Ragan in 10th.

Without a doubt, one of the most exciting and entertaining races of the season, and Dale Jr. finally gets his Martinsville win, and he was LONG OVERDUE for that win. And the way he went balls to the wall on that last restart to get back to the lead was phenomenal. And Jimmie Johnson was nowhere to be found (yaylol). Great stuff.

Lots of beating, banging, retaliation, side-by-side racing. That's Martinsville for you. Today was a great day.

The Goody's Headache Powder 500 @ Martinsville gets a 9.5/10. Excellent stuff. Cool
