M&M Crew has a great showing:
M & M Crew has a solid showing.
Scott Madigan and Ben Maddox, for the M & M Crew team, qualified relatively well into AST Voltson's first race at Michigan. Madigan, who would qualify 6th was extremely fast in his Isanni truck.

He was rather quiet during pre-race interview stating that "I can do it. I will."

His team mate, 30 year old rookie Ben Maddox qualified 23rd. A bit low from his standards as he stated in the pre-race interview alongside Madigan.

We can only wait and see what he can do with this race.

Quiet day for M&M Crew:
Team-mate rookies Scott Madigan, and Ben Maddox would both have quiet days.

Madigan qualified well. Starting 8th, he'd run up near the front all day making 3rd his best position, but he slowly scathed back to 7th.

His 30 year old team-mate Ben Maddox would have a quiet day and finish 32nd out of his 35th place qualification.

Scott Madigan was rather ecstatic with his final position and stated to reporters that "Truck ran well all day long. I am stoked to know I have gotten used to large ovals. Razz I do need to tweak the trucks' setup a little. I think it was a bit too tight, and had to fall back some as a result. Oh well, 7th is good for me!"

Madigan's father, Quinton Madigan, the car truck owner for Maddox and Madigan stated that he has a few tricks up his sleeve; "I do believe my boy will show me proud. I've taught him well from our prior experience racing at the shorties around Michigan.
--For never starting on a large oval, I believe my son has done wonders. Let him show ya how it is done!

Further insight will come as the weeks tarry on.

EF5 Motorsports Tears Into Michigan:

Kurosawa looks full speed ahead into the rest of the season
Honoka Kurosawa, the Japanese debutante shocked the world with her speed throughout the weekend in Michigan, but ultimately brought the truck home 6th in a fantastic showing.

"I'm so happy! We had a great truck all weekend, and from here on out, we just keep fighting on! I also want to send my best wishes to Bailey (Bliss), hopefully she's OK!" Kurosawa said, the rookie bringing EF5 Motorsports it's first top 10.

Edwards disappears in the main event
Despite winning the heat race, Grant Edwards and his 107.9 The Ghost machine disappeared like a ghost as the main race wore on, coming home 14th, which is still a respectable result for them, but not what they wanted out of the weekend.

"Our truck was good in the heats, but as the race went on I just lost a bunch of speed, and couldn't get back up in the lead pack. Gotta thank everyone on this team for their work, and like Honoka said earlier, hoping Bailey is OK."

Bailey Bliss gets twisted up in violent accident
After a horrifying crash in the heats on Lap 8, Bailey Bliss's truck was destroyed, and there were concerns about her well-being, as she was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Bliss was released from the hospital the same day, diagnosed with whiplash from the accident, but none the worse for wear in terms of morale.

"Things happen. It was scary for sure, but even though I'm pretty sore, I think I'm good to go. As long as I'm medically cleared, I want to hop back in the truck and keep going. We got so much more to offer." Bliss said, in an interview at the track, where she watched her teammates compete.

Re: AST Voltson Super Trucks

Post by UndyingLight on Tue Jun 20, 2017 5:03 pm

Messy Day for M&M Crew:
The second race for the new team M&M Crew proved to be rather messy. After Scott Madigan indirectly caused two accidents, he was penalized and had 25pts deducted from his 7th place finish. "My apologies goes to all teams I affected. I'm still not used to this fast Isanni and coming out of those turns I got too much steam out of 'er. Let me go buy you all drinks." he stated to those specific teams. "The truck, like I said, ran very well and was quick all day, I just wish I could get used to the damn thing, then silly little mistakes and accidents would not happen so often." He then would proceed to his hauler to discuss matters with his team mate and father.

His team mate, Ben Maddox had an unusually good day with a very fast Isanni and would climb to 10th several times throughout the day. Unfortunately, he'd be turned around off of a corner. While no damage came to the truck, he'd lose many postions.
At the end of the day, he'd come home 9th. His best finish so far, and miles ahead of last week.

Further insight to be held.

Spoiler:
Very dominant day for the Binford Racing Team

After a rather disappointing showing at Michigan, Binford Racing Team bounced back with a 1-2 finish at Flat Rock Speedway. Wilson Timothy, who took home his second career win, now has a 19 point lead in the standings. With his second place finish, Bryan Kelly jumped from last to 11th in the standings. This is the second time a Binford truck has led the standings, the first being after Toledo last year.
