-Bobby Labonte is in a third Tommy Baldwin car, the #37. Not sure if this is a joint entry with Max Q again or not.
-Brett Moffitt is in the #66.
-Trevor Bayne and Michael McDowell make their first starts since Daytona.

Well, The coverage horror now turns from TNT to ESPN for the final time. Might as well get ready to count how many times we'll hear about drivers with "Opportunities" and whats going on "Right now", along with the many upcoming drivers we previously never heard of.

And the new scoring pylon, which is actually pretty sweet, is now in place:

The Nationwide race doesn't deserve a thread so I'm posting it here.

Ragan fastest in practice: #98-David Ragan was fastest during opening practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a speed of 181.043mph

Harvick pretty much had everyone covered in qualifying. Interested to see if he can keep it up tomorrow.

In all seriousness though, why does it seem whenever Harvick has the fastest car, either 1. He loses a part of the car to failure or 2. He chokes it away? He's done it a couple of times this season, and for some reason, I'm expecting tomorrow to be no different.

He won at Phoenix, he's locked in the Top 30. He shouldn't be worried with winning right now.

YES I ACTUALLY JUST SAID THAT!

Wasn't a bad race to be honest, those first 50 laps flew by.

Only watched the final 20 laps. Great win for Ty Dillon.

Kevin Harvick looks like he has a rocket on his hands for tomorrow's race. I have a feeling it's going to be a Penske win tomorrow though. I will be at the track tomorrow.

Edwards has confirmed he will not return to RFR next year.

Since he actually has a shot for the title, i'm okay with him winning it for the bad luck in 2011/2008

Nationwide race at Indy was really interesting.

The entire top 15 having 15 completely different strategies throughout the whole race was good to watch, especially the 22's decision to change left sides only, twice.

Moffitt, Stremme, and Crafton DNQs. Moffitt was faster than Almirola and Labonte but Almirola had owner points, and Labonte a Past Champ provisional.

RFR is also reducing to a three-car team as a result. So they'll only have the 6, 16, and 17.

They already are a three car team and have been since the start of 2012, the 6 pretty much replaces the 99.

This race is strategy crazy

I like it, the best strategy will win this race, not the best car, even though Gordon has the best car! Also, it makes the race more interesting. And the race isn't half bad atm.

I'm surprised no debris caution yet...

Danica finally has a good run... and the axle broke -_-

Jeff Gordon now ties Michael Schumacher for most wins at Indy.

Great win for Jeff Gordon. Pretty interesting race in my opinion overall.

Tops of the Race: Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne (just imagine the battle if it wasn't for that last yellow)
Flops: Ryan Truex (how do you break your car to the point your only going 3500 rpms?
Dishonorable Mentions: Danica Patrick's rear end (well at least the mechanical failure didn't happen to Harvick )

Great job by Jeff Gordon winning his 5th Brickyard 400. That was a good race, IMO. The strategy was very intriguing throughout. And not a single debris caution. I'll give it a 6.0/10.
